The Valorant Masters Toronto competition ended on Sunday, June 22, 2025 or Monday, June 23, 2025 (Indonesian time) where the Grand Final match between Paper Rex and FNATIC was the main headline. The battle between the two giants from EMEA and Pacific really stole the public spotlight.
The journey of Valorant Masters Toronto can be said to be quite surprising to the public. Unexpected results, dynamic games, however, all lead to one direction, namely the meeting between Paper Rex and FNATIC. Paper Rex, as the dominant force from the Pacific, sailed through Masters Toronto without a hitch.
FNATIC, even though they had fallen, Boaster and his friends proved that they were EMEA giants who were not easily defeated. This match also proved the quality of both of them, who would seize glory in the last Masters in 2025.
However, the fierce battle between the two ended with a result that had been predicted by many people and Paper Rex, managed to emerge as the champion of Masters Toronto 2025 after defeating FNATIC with a score of 3-1. What an extraordinary struggle for f0rsakeN and his friends.
Defeating FNATIC in the Grand Final, Paper Rex Wins Masters Toronto 2025!
As previously mentioned, the journeys of the two teams were completely different at Valorant Masters Toronto 2025. Paper Rex, who went through the tough Swiss Stage round, had to meet the champion of the Americas region, G2 Esports. Interestingly, f0rsakeN and his friends managed to defeat G2 with a score of 2-0.
Paper Rex's train journey did not stop there, they managed to defeat other tough opponents, namely Sentinels and Wolves Esports before finally stepping into the Grand Final round. Meanwhile, FNATIC, had to fall at the beginning of the playoff round at the hands of Gen.G Esports.
However, Boaster and his friends rose. They defeated Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) with a score of 2-1. FNATIC not only defeated the King of Pacific, but also defeated FNATIC, G2 Esports and finally Wolves Esports before finally advancing to the Grand Final.
In the Grand Final round, Paper Rex faced FNATIC in a best of 5 series (BO5) mode where both teams played on Sunset, Icebox, Pearl, Lotus and Split as the deciding map for both teams. FNATIC started game 1, Sunset with a fairly good start, outperforming Paper Rex.
However, Paper Rex responded and finally the First half closed with an 8-4 victory for f0rsaken and his friends. In the second half, FNATIC tried to reply. The point difference was very close, however, Jinggg with his high IQ game surprised FNATIC.
Boaster and Alfajer were defeated, the advantage was in the hands of Paper Rex. Chronicle and Crashies were left, facing 4 Paper Rex players and finally Paper Rex got game 1, Sunset. Moving on to game 2, Icebox, it was Paper Rex's turn to hold the early advantage over FNATIC.
However, the existing point difference was successfully pursued by FNATIC. The game was quite fierce for both of them and the first half ended with a score of 6-6. In the second half, FNATIC dominated the game making Paper Rex fall behind. Kaajak's cool game made it difficult for Paper Rex.
FNATIC managed to get match point. Paper Rex was not afraid, they still tried to continue to catch up on the point difference and stop FNATIC. f0rsakeN and his friends' efforts were successful, the match continued to the extra round. The two teams competed fiercely again in the extra round.
The score chase was inevitable. Truly, a thrilling final for Valorant fans around the world. Both teams continued to chase points and did not want to give in. Finally, FNATIC got match point. Jinggg and s0mething were defeated.
FNATIC won, finally in game 2, Icebox fell into the hands of Boaster and his friends. The score was balanced at 1-1. Entering game 3, Pearl, both teams fought back and showed their strength. Although they were evenly matched, FNATIC closed the first half with a score of 7-5.
FNATIC again and again held the advantage in the second half like the previous game. However, Paper Rex's fighting spirit cannot be underestimated. Point after point was collected, f0rsakeN and his friends fought back. The advantage finally shifted to Paper Rex and got match point.
In the deciding round, d4v41 and Alfajer fell early. Trade kills occurred again between the two teams, leaving two players f0rsakeN and Kaajak. Kaajak tried to defuse but finally f0rsakeN got the last kill and Paper Rex temporarily won 2-1 over FNATIC.
Entering game 4, Lotus, both teams competed fiercely at the beginning. The victory in the previous game boosted the mentality of the Paper Rex players. Although they tried to catch up on the points difference, however, s0mething closed the first half with a score of 7-5 for Paper Rex. FNATIC opened the second half well and equalized.
Paper Rex, regained control of the game. Surprisingly, FNATIC managed to close their point gap again. The fight for match point became crucial, Chronicle managed to defeat Jinggg. Crasies got f0rsakeN, FNATIC, got the advantage in this game.
Chronicle finally got match point for FNATIC after the Ace he got. Not staying silent, Paper Rex played aggressively and W Gaming surprised FNATIC. Site C was controlled, Spike was installed. Kaajak and Crashies were left, finally f0rsakeN and PatMen managed to bring an extra round for Paper Rex.
In round 1 of the extra round, FNATIC became the attacker. FNATIC's strategy was successfully broken by Paper Rex, the first point was successfully obtained. A fast game towards A was carried out by Paper Rex trying to make FNATIC off guard. Unfortunately, two Paper Rex players fell victim to Alfajer and Chronicle.

Completing Paper Rex's victory as the champion of Masters Toronto, Leo Faria as Head of Global Esports VALORANT gave the MVP award to f0rsakeN as the star of Valorant Indonesia at Valorant Masters Toronto. What an extraordinary victory, after some time Paper Rex became the champion again.
