One of the most pivotal moments in the history of the Super Sentai movie series or games was when Ninja Sentai Kakuranger arrived in 1994. Ninja Sentai Kakuranger was in the spotlight for many reasons. First, it was the first ninja team in the Super Sentai franchise, featuring memorable characters with incredible fighting skills.

Secondly, Kakuranger is also the first series to have a woman as the team leader, giving strong representation to women in tokusatsu. Thirdly, Kakuranger was the first series to feature a non-red ranger as the team leader, proving that the color of the costume does not prevent someone from being a great leader.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the cast of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger reunited in a special event announced by the official Super Sentai X account on February 7th 2024. The event was held on May 11th 2024 at the G Rosso Theater near Tokyo Dome, with two sessions held at 4:30pm and 7pm local time.

Guests in attendance included the five main cast members: Teruaki Ogawa (Sasuke/Ninja Red), Mao Inoue (Tsuruhime/Ninja White), Hiroshi Tsuchida (Saizo/Ninja Blue), Shu Kawai (Seikai/Ninja Yellow), and Kane Kosugi (Jiraiya/Ninja Black). They were accompanied by Kohei Yamamoto (Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger Kouta Bito/Hurricane Yellow), a junior actor in the Super Sentai world who plays the role of a ninja.

In addition to meeting with fans, Super Sentai X also announced the release of the 30th anniversary version of their transformation item, the Doron Changer, from Premium Bandai. This Doron Changer comes with a Kakurangers medal and several audio tracks voiced by the cast. And most excitingly, there is also news of a new episode of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger that will be released in summer 2024 on the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club streaming service.

For loyal fans of the series, the 30th anniversary of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger was truly a special moment. In addition to the fan meeting and the release of new episodes, there was also a DVD release of the series and a special video about Kakuranger on Toei Tokusatsu's YouTube channel. Although the fan meeting has come to an end, the excitement for the new episodes of this beloved series remains high.
