The anime and manga world cannot be separated from the game world, after Hunter X Hunter, now it’s Fairy Tail video game turn to be released soon. This game release date was announced at Tokyo Game Show on 14 and 15 August 2019.

At the same event, the company Koei Tecmo revealed that GUST Studio was a studio which aimed at developing this game. Koei also gives some leaks about the story details, characters information and several other things that will appear in the new Fairy Tail game.

Later this game will be following the arc of "The Grand Magic Games" in the manga and also the anime. This allows the players to find a unique storyline that doesn't even exist in the anime or manga. Koei Tecmo also leaked five out of a total of ten characters that you can play in this game.

The five characters that were confirmed to appear on the game by Koei Tecmo are:

• The Fire Dragon Slayer, Natsu Dragneel
• The Celestial Mage, Lucy Heartfilia
• The Ice Mage, Gray Fullbuster
• The Fairy Queen Titania, Erza Scarlet
• The Young Dragon Slayer, Wendy Marvell

This announcement explains the Fairy Tail game trailer that circulated on YouTube since 5 September. In the trailer it was announced that this RPG game will be released for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC (via Steam) in 2020.

“Demons, wizards, dragons, and cats – players will find it all as they start your journey in the land of Fiore. In FAIRY TAIL, the wizards play through the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia, as well as other eccentric members of the FAIRY TAIL mage guild, on a fun-filled and thrilling quest.” is the description in the video trailer.

Still from the same video description, it is explained that GUST Studios is involving the author of Fairy Tail, Hiro Mashima, as the supervisor for this game so that fans don’t have to worry if their beloved characters are not the same as the anime or manga.
