The MPL ID Season 16 Playoffs have reached a defining point for Indonesia’s top six teams — the stage where every mistake could mean elimination, and every play could open the door to the M7 World Championship. Each team has arrived with its strongest lineup, burning motivation, and above all, their main carriers — the players who have carried their teams through the toughest moments of the season.
Although Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a 5v5 team game, history has shown that individual brilliance often defines victory. A jungler stealing the Lord, a gold laner clutching the final teamfight, or a mid laner finding the perfect engage — these are the moments that turn battles around. Under playoff pressure, those individual moments of greatness have always made the difference.
Here are the main carriers from every team in the MPL ID S16 Playoffs, the ones who have defined their team’s identity and will likely decide who steps closer to the M7 World Championship.
ONIC Esports: SANZ–Kairi
SANZ and Kairi have long been synonymous with consistency and excellence. They have carried ONIC’s backbone for several seasons and once again proved their dominance in MPL ID S16. SANZ finished the regular season at the top of the MVP Leaderboard with 127 points, thanks to his stellar performances and two Weekly MVP awards.
Meanwhile, Kairi secured the third spot with 111 points, reaffirming his reputation as one of the best junglers in the world. The duo’s synergy — a perfect mix of strategic control and rapid execution — has remained ONIC’s trademark. As the playoffs approach, this GOAT-level pairing will be the biggest reason the Yellow Hedgehogs could once again reach the M-Series stage.
Bigetron by Vitality: EMANN–Nnael
The resurgence of Bigetron by Vitality this season has not happened by chance. It has been driven by two stars — EMANN from the Philippines and Nnael from Indonesia. EMANN has performed brilliantly as a gold laner, mastering both Marksman and Fighter roles, earning him the second place on the MVP Leaderboard.
Though Nnael hasn’t ranked as high in MVP points, his impact has been undeniable. His aggressive early-game approach has often opened the map and dictated Bigetron’s tempo. Nicknamed the “M-Series Carrier” after leading Geek Fam to M5, he has aimed to repeat history with the Red Robots. Together, EMANN and Nnael have formed the crucial backbone for Bigetron’s first-ever MPL title pursuit.
Alter Ego: Nino–Arfy
Alter Ego have been known for their strong mentality and tight chemistry — and their two sidelane stars, Nino and Arfy, have embodied that spirit. As captain and veteran, Nino has continued to evolve since earning the Most Improved Player award in MPL ID S15. This season, he has recorded a 65.17% kill participation rate and an average KDA of 5.97, placing him among the best EXP laners in the league.
Meanwhile, Arfy has dominated as the league’s top killer with 166 kills during the regular season. He is also one of only four players to have achieved a Savage this season. With the combined power of these two lanes, Alter Ego have become one of the most dangerous dark horses in the playoffs, strengthened further by the synergy from their mid-trio.
EVOS Esports: Alberttt–KYY
EVOS Esports have had a rollercoaster season, but one constant has remained: Alberttt has been the team’s core. He finished fourth on the MVP Leaderboard with 101 points, once again showcasing his skill as one of Indonesia’s top junglers.
Alongside him, KYY has been the team’s emotional anchor. The duo, often dubbed the “Prot-Prot Duo” by fans, have shown exceptional coordination built from years of teamwork. Their synergy and discipline have often stabilized EVOS during high-pressure moments. If Alberttt manages to return to his peak form, the White Tigers could finally break their M-Series drought after five long seasons.
DEWA United Esports: Octa–Reyy
DEWA United have been this season’s surprise package. Even after adding Qinn to the roster, their gameplay foundation has remained in the hands of Octa and Reyy. As the mid laner, Octa has been explosive — boasting the widest hero pool (12 heroes) and a 7.17 KDA average, the fifth-highest in the league.
At the same time, Reyy has been the team’s execution engine. Whether piloting tank junglers or assassins, he has maintained the highest kill count on the team (114 kills) and is known for his precise retributions that often secured major objectives. Together with the aggression of Qinn and Maybe, DEWA have proven to be one of the most unpredictable teams entering the playoffs.
NAVI: Karss–Andoryuuu
NAVI may not have been favorites on paper, but their qualification for the playoffs under their new banner has already been a success story. Much of that credit belongs to Karss and Andoryuuu.
Veteran EXP laner Karss has brought leadership and stability, returning to his natural role after a stint as a roamer. His aggressive playstyle and experience have anchored NAVI’s frontline. Meanwhile, Andoryuuu has injected new energy into the team with his sharp, assassin-heavy jungle playstyle — often catching opponents off guard.
The duo have symbolized NAVI’s transformation from a mid-tier squad into a legitimate playoff contender. With their “first time in history” momentum, they have posed a serious threat to any team underestimating them.
Every team in the MPL ID S16 Playoffs has its own formula for victory, but the essence remains the same — their main carriers. They are the tempo setters, the momentum shifters, and the embodiment of championship mentality on the Land of Dawn. And as the playoff spotlight shines brighter, only those who have dared to perform under pressure will carry their teams one step closer to the M7 World Championship.
