In Ragnarok X: Next Generation, there are numerous classes players can choose from. Each Class has its own unique playstyle and roles. Some can take the role of Tank, Support, DPS, or even Merchant, which allows the players to make a lot of money.
Each player will start as a Novice. Once you meet the basic requirements, you can continue to your first Class such as Swordsman, Archer, etc. And then, when you reach Job Level 50, you can advance to your Second Class, such as Knight, Hunter, or Wizard -- and so on.
If you have difficulties deciding which Class suits you the best in RO X: Next Generation, make sure to check out this guide!
Swordsman
Swordsman is a DPS Class that can be found in any MMORPG with balanced attack and defense and is quite formidable from the get-go. Swordsman is one of the most straightforward Classes, especially for beginners.
With deadly attacks, a Swordsman can kill monsters or complete Instances with ease. And their defense stats are unmatched. A Swordsman would also be leading from the frontline to withstand attacks.
VIT Knight is a Swordsman that excels in defense, can pull aggro, and serves as the overall Tank. You can’t inflict an insane amount of damage as a VIT Knight, but you certainly can withstand any attack.
AGI Swordsman possesses high attack speed, short cooldown, and support capabilities. AGI Swordsman is a common choice for those of you looking for a DPS in PvE.
Spear Knight has insanely high damage output, yet has a longer cooldown. Usually, Spear Knight has a PvP-oriented build.
The Sub-Class for Swordsman is Knight, which then levels up to Knight Lord, and Crusader, who has higher defense and durability.
Archer
Archer is a Class with a wide set of skills to do damage from afar or even dish out AoE damage. An Archer can maintain their range using traps, and inflict deadly attacks.
A Trap is a type of Archer who takes advantage of their multiple trap skills, allowing them to kite enemies.
Ranged Attack Archers have short channeling time for their skills and have a stable DPS. Ranged Attack is a common type of Archer and works well in any situation.
Falcon takes advantage of their pet Falcon for additional damage while also getting a damage boost at the same time.
The Sub-Class for Archer is Hunter, which levels up to Sniper and Dancer. You will be able to rain the enemy down with a barrage of arrows from a distance.
Mage
Mages use magic and inflict damage from a distance with their devastating spells. They’re known for their tremendous AoE magic damage. Mages rely on their skills as the main source of damage. The only drawback of a Mage is their fixed and slow cast time. So, in other words, their DPS is probably not as big as other Classes. However, the CCs from a Mage is crucial in PvP and Instances
Ice, Lightning this type focuses on damage combos and powerful CCs. This build works really well in PvP or Instances.
Fire, Ghost has a short cast time and good defensive capabilities that make them so powerful in PvP.
Fire, Earth can dish out an amazing amount of damage yet has a terribly slow cast time. This build works best in PvE and Instances.
The Sub-Class for a Mage is Wizard, which levels up to High Wizard, and Sage. Use their elemental skills to do further increase their magic damage.
