Mobile Legends has a Ranked mode in which players compete with others within their proficiency level. This game mode tends to be more intense and more competitive as it features a ranking system that determines your playing skills in Mobile Legends.

Ranked mode lasts for three months, where players will be placed in one of the seven ranks. Upon reaching certain ranks, players will receive rewards at the end of the season.

The Ranking System in Mobile Legends

The ranking system in Mobile Legends determines the players’ proficiency level and experience. Players will be given a star for each win in Ranked, and lose one star for each loss. When a player reaches all the stars within a division, the next win will promote them to the next rank. And, if a player manages to earn all the stars within level I of a division, the player will be promoted into the next division.

When a player doesn’t have any star in their rank, the next defeat will take them down to a lower rank.

Players will be matched with players within the same rank (or within the same level). Each time they win a ranked match, they will earn 1 star, while losing will take away 1 star. 

However, in Warrior, no star will be deducted when the player loses a game.

Players can invite their friends in Ranked. Ranked matches can be played Solo, Duo, Trio, or Squad Match-up. However, the invited players have to be at least within two ranks of others.

There are two requirements for players to unlock Ranked mode: reaching account level 8 and have at least 6 heroes. Only then, a player would be able to play a Ranked match and make their climb from Warrior.

When a player is ranked between Warrior and Grandmaster, they will go through the usual selection phase as they would in Classic mode. However, once a player reaches Epic and above, they will have to go through a Draft Pick stage before the match.

When the season ends, the Ranked mode will be temporarily unavailable until the next season where players will be placed in a new starting division based on their performance in the previous season.

Rank Tiers in Mobile Legends

In Mobile Legends, there are eight rank tiers:

Warriors

Warrior is the first rank in the Mobile Legends rank system. Players who reach this rank are players who are new to Mobile Legends and are learning how to play this game.

This rank provides an opportunity for players to play against players of the same skill level and improve their skills. Players can also get attractive prizes by reaching and maintaining the Warrior rank.

At this rank, players will not drop stars when they lose, so it will make it easier for players to move up to the next rank.

You can get 1000 Battle Points, 100 Tickets, and 1 Fragment Skin if at the end of the season you only reach warriors.

Elite

Elite is the second rank in the Mobile Legends ranking system. Players who reach this rank usually have sufficient experience playing in Mobile Legends and understand the mechanics of the game.

Rank Elite has three tiers, namely Elite III to Elite 1 and players need 4 stars in order to advance to the next rank.

Because reaching the Elite rank is very easy, players will still meet beginners who have just played and learned the Mobile Legends game.

If you manage to reach Elite rank at the end of the season, you will get 2000 Battle Points, 200 Tickets, and 3 Fragment Skins.

Masters

Master is the third rank level in Mobile Legends. Players in this tier are usually quite familiar with the Mobile Legends game and have started to understand the strategies and tactics used to win matches. You can start to feel the competitive experience if you have played at the Master rank.

The Master rank has four tiers, namely Master IV to Master I and players only need 4 stars to be able to advance to the next tier.

If you manage to reach the Master rank at the end of the season, you will get 4000 Battle Points, 300 Tickets, and a permanent exclusive skin.

Grandmasters

Next is Grandmaster, a level higher than Master. This grandmaster is filled with players who understand gameplay, strategy, and META in Mobile Legends.

There are five levels of this Grandmaster, namely Grandmaster V to Grandmaster I and requires five stars to be able to rise. It sounds really difficult, but pushing rank in Grandmaster is quite easy as long as you understand META in Mobile Legends.

If you manage to reach Grandmaster rank at the end of the season, you will get 7000 Battle Points, 600 Tickets, and a permanent exclusive skin.

Epic

At Epic rank this is the place where players will start playing very seriously. In this rank, players will use the Draft Pick system in every match. Due to the Draft Pick system, this forces players to learn more heroes and know counter picks.

Epic also has five levels like Grandmaster, namely Epic V to Epic I with 5 stars to be able to rise to the next rank.

If you manage to reach Epic rank at the end of the season, you will get 12000 Battle Points, 1000 Tickets, and a permanent exclusive skin.

Legend

Legend is a level with very experienced players. Usually the Legend rank is filled with players who are quite stable when compared to the Epic rank. The players must also understand the unique META and already master the various existing roles.

Legend also has five levels, namely Legend V to Legend I with five stars to rank up.

If you manage to reach Legend rank at the end of the season, you will get 20000 Battle Points, 1500 Tickets, and a permanent exclusive skin.

Mythic

Mythic is the highest rank in Mobile Legends. There are five levels from Mythic V to Mythic I with a Mythic Point rating to determine where your rank is.

If a player has reached this rank, the player won't go down to Legend easily so you don't need to worry.

Mythic is certainly filled with super-skilled players who are very good at the Mobile Legends game. It will be difficult to push rank in this tier because the enemies you face will also be good at it.

If you manage to reach Mythic rank at the end of the season, you will get 20000 Battle Points, 1500 Tickets, Mythic Emote, and a permanent exclusive skin.

Mythical Glory

Mythical Glory is the highest rank in Mobile Legends which is usually filled with pro players who are experienced in participating in tournaments. To reach this rank, players must have at least 600 Mythic Points in the ranking.

Of course, players have to try very hard to reach the Mythical Glory rank in Mobile Legends.

If you manage to reach Mythical Glory rank at the end of the season, you will get 20000 Battle Points, 1500 Tickets, Mythic Emote and permanent exclusive skin.

What’s The Lowest Rank in Mobile Legends (ML)?

The lowest rank in Mobile Legends is Warrior. The Warrior Rank is the first rank in Mobile Legends' tiers. All players start their rank from Warrior.

The Warrior Rank also has 3 tiers, namely Warrior III to Warrior I, and you have to win three matches and get three stars to be able to move up each tier.

In this lowest Mobile Legends (ML) rank, players will not lose stars when they lose, so players can easily push ranks to pursue higher ranks.

If you only manage to reach Warrior rank at the end of the Ranked Season, you'll receive 1000 Battle Points, 100 Tickets, and 1 Fragment Skin prize.

What's The Highest Rank in Mobile Legends (ML)?

Meanwhile, the highest ML rank is Mythical Glory or Glorious Mythic. This is the last rank level in the Mobile Legends game and the way to get it is that you must have a minimum of 600 Mythic Points to reach Mythical Glory rank.

Apart from that, your account can also be included in the leaderboard if you have high Mythic Points. So far, the highest average Mythic Points in ML are in the range of 5000 to 6000 points.

Mythic and Mythical Glory

Unlike other tiers, to reach Mythic, you have to undergo a placement. You will have to play 10 games, which will be assessed by the system in Mobile Legends, determining the best rank and division for you, based on your skills. Mythic has five tiers, from Mythic V to Mythic I.

Once you reach 600 points in Mythic, you will be promoted to the highest tier in Mobile Legends: Mythical Glory. Here, you will compete against the best of the best.

Draft Pick

Draft Pick is a selection phase that is only featured in Ranked Games for players in Epic and above, or in major Mobile Legends tournaments, such as the MPL, MCL, or Conquest of Dawn.

The main goal of the Draft Pick is to encourage players to diversify their hero pool and not to rely on a particular or a certain bunch of heroes. Players will be forced to adjust and come up with strategies for the team to win games.

There are three phases in the Draft Pick: Banning Phase, Picking Phase, and Last Change Phase.

The Banning Phase is the first phase players will have to go through during a Draft Pick. In this phase, 3 players (S3, S4, and S5) will have to select a hero to be banned for the match.

The Picking Phase is the second phase, and probably the most crucial in a Draft Pick, as players will have to pick the hero that they will use for the game.

The Last Change Phase is the last phase that lasts 30 seconds before entering the game. During this phase, players can choose the Skins, Emblems & Talents, Spell, and Gear that they’d like to use for the game.

Rewards in Ranked

Each time a player reaches certain tiers and ranks, they will receive a certain amount of Battle Points and Tickets. For players who reach Master and above, they will also receive the exclusive skin of that season.
