Citing VentureBeat.com, the console beats the all-time sale record of Game Boy. it was said that PS4 has sold 1,5 million units from January until March 2020 and not the console is the second best-selling console of all time. However, the number is still below the sale record of Gameboy and Gameboy Color Nintendo with 118,69 million units.

According to numerous sources, Nintendo DS is still the best-selling gaming device with 154,02 million units. Interestingly, the first-gen PlayStation or PSX is the next best-selling console after PlayStation 4 with 102,49 million units.

For their income, Sony received a lower profit with USD3,8 billion (Rp56,5 trillion) compared to the past 12 months. It’s caused by the lower console and game sales this year.

PlayStation 5 is set to release at the end of this year, although rumor stated that the console will be released in October. At the moment, the design of Sony’s latest console is still a mystery. So far, they only reveal the new controller design.
