The National Recreational Sports Festival or FORNAS 2025 held in July in NTB Province will compete in the esports sport. In FORNAS VIII this year, there are 3 game categories competed, namely Tekken 8, Honor of Kings, and eFootball Mobile.

At the 2023 Fornas (National Community Recreational Sports Festival) event held in West Java (Jabar), there were esports branches competed, namely MLBB, PUBGM, e-Football and Tekken.

The 3 game branches competed in FORNAS 2025 are quite popular esports games in Indonesia. 2 games are mobile games while 1 game is a console game. These games have routinely held national and international esports tournaments.

The presence of Tekken 8 is the only console game branch competed in Fornas 2025 and is the latest edition of its predecessor Tekken 7 from the legendary Tekken game franchise. With significant graphic improvements, a new dynamic fighting system, and increasingly solid competitive online features, Tekken 8 has also gained enthusiasm among local gamers, both casual players and the e-sports community.

Continued eFootball Mobile game, this game in Indonesia is very dynamic. The Indonesian national team eFootball Mobile branch has achieved many achievements at the international level, including success in various competitions and defeats in important rounds such as the last 8 of the eFootball World Cup. The Indonesian national team has also officially been present in the eFootball game made by Konami, thanks to cooperation with PSSI and Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia.

For the MOBA genre game itself, HOK replaces MLBB as a game branch competing in Fornas 2025. The journey of Honor of Kings (HOK) in Indonesia began on June 20, 2024, after previously being known as Arena of Valor (AOV) in the global market. This game was officially launched in Indonesia via the Google Play Store and App Store, allowing players to download and play. Since its launch, HOK has shown significant growth in the esports sector, with a growing community and many talented players starting to compete at the national level, such as in the Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL) Spring 2025 where Team Kagendra, Dominator and Bigetron became the Top 3 and were entitled to represent Indonesia at the Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) 2025 which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
