Kinetic Games officially announced the postponement of the release of Phasmophobia for the PlayStation 5, PSVR 2, and Xbox Series platforms from the previously expected release plan. The original plan for Phasmophobia for the console platform was to be released before the end of August.

However, after a fire that occurred at the Kinetic Games office and the announcement of 'unforeseen development issues', the production studio has finally decided to postpone the launch of the console to the week before Halloween in October.

This announcement may be a bit disappointing for some people, but the company has tried its best to optimize the game. In addition, Kinetic Games posts on X (aka Twitter), show that there are changes to make the game more optimal and ensure everything is perfect before it can finally be played by fans on consoles.

As previously announced, the PlayStation 5 version will later support play on PlayStation VR 2, and both versions will have cross-play features as an optional game. Phasmophobia is a horror game that will make you play as a team of paranormal investigators to enter haunted locations full of strange events and try to collect as much evidence as possible.
