After years of waiting, the dreams of many Nintendo Switch users are finally coming true. Atlus has officially announced that the popular JRPG series, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable are all coming to Nintendo Switch.

This announcement came from Nintendo Direct Mini, along with the announcement of the series’ official release on Xbox and PC. It’s a huge step for the franchise and certainly good news for Persona fans. 

First released in 2006, Persona 3 became popular by focusing on the daily lives of Japanese high school students and the dark supernatural storyline around it. Followed by Persona 4 and Persona 5 which expanded the story.

When Persona 5 was released in 2017, many fans expected that the series would be coming to Nintendo Switch shortly after, due to the response from PlayStation Vita players. With the official release on Nintendo Switch, Persona 3, 4, and 5 will be available on the main platform. These games are the remastered versions of the originals and have been adjusted for Switch. 

In a presentation at the Nintendo Direct Mini, Atlus explained that Persona 5 Royal will be the first one released on 21 October on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5, and will be followed by Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable later in 2023.

Persona 5 Royal follows the main character, Joker, who moves into Shujin High School, where he needs to save everyone from The Phantom Thieves. The PCand Xbox versions of Persona 5 will also include all of the DLCs.
