This time, ATLUS shared the Persona 3 Reload trailer which specifically focuses on the battle system. This gameplay trailer shows the various characters available, able to use several abilities in battle in the upcoming game, such as the Shift mechanic and the Theurgy skill.

The shift mechanic will be similar to the Baton Pass in Persona 5, where a character can give a turn to another party member after getting '1 More' for exploiting an enemy's weakness or performing a critical attack on an enemy. For example, Aigis has 'Orgia Mode' in her Theurgia skill, which in the original Persona 3, is one of Aigis' unique abilities that can damage enemies while healing party members. In Persona 3 Reload, Orgia Mode is an attack that can deal 'Heavy Pierce' damage to all enemies that ignore resistance.

Below is the latest Persona 3 Reload trailer regarding the game's Battle System.

Based on the trailer, also shows Light and Dark skills that can deal damage to enemies, similar to the skills in Persona 5's Bless and Curse. In the original Persona 3 game, this skill is just an instant kill spell that relies on random chance.

Apart from showing their battle system trailer, Persona 3 Reload also previously released several other character trailers such as Makoto Yuki, Junpei Iori, Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, Yukari Takeba, Fuuka Yamagishi, Ken Amada, Koromaru the pet dog, to the android Aigis. Persona 3 Reload will be released on February 2, 2024, on Windows PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
