A piece of shocking news came from a popular soccer game Pro Evolution Soccer or also known as PES. As we all know that every year Konami always releases the latest version to the fans, but this thing might be different because according to the rumor, PES 2021 which supposedly to be released this year, will come as a DLC or a Season Update for PES 2020.

Reporting from Explica, this news was first published on the @AusVGClass Twitter account. This account often leaked classifications or game ratings published by the Australian government for upcoming video games. On June 2, the account announced that the Australian government had published a classification for “PES 2021”.

Instead of coming as a new installment, the classification given to Konami said that PES 2021 will come as a Season Update. That means PES 2021 will only introducing the latest player transfer updates and club kits, but still offering PES 2021 gameplay.

The same news also came from a Dutch video game journalist, Rene Treur. On his social media account, Treur wrote that PES 2021 will come as a DLC that can be downloaded by PES 2020 players. The journalist also added that currently, Konami had chosen to develop PES 2022 instead of PES 2021.

Even though it’s still a rumor, this news probably came true. Due to the COVID-19 all over the world, Konami focusing itself to put more attention on PES 2022, instead of rushing to release PES 2021.
