Games that Will be Contested in the 2023 President Cup Esports

In this year's President Cup Esports, there are two games to compete. You can see the list of games being contested below.

• Lokapala
• Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)

The list of games is actually less than in previous years. In 2022, the tournament competed Battle of Satria Dewa, Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, Lokapala, Mobile Legends, and one local game from the submission system.

Even so, it should also be noted that there is a Mobile Legends competition for women.

The 2023 PPE Tournament Format

Previously, it was stated that there are only two games that will compete in this annual tournament. As for the tournament format for each game, you can see it here.

1. Formats for Lokapala

For this one local MOBA game, it will be divided into three stages, namely Open Qualification, Open Qualification Final, and the 2023 PPE Main Event.

In the Open Qualifiers, 256 teams will be selected and will be divided into 8 groups of 32 teams. Each group will pass 2 teams, which will total 16 teams. In this round, a single elimination best of 1 (Bo1) system will be used.

Of the 16 teams, they will compete in the Open Qualification Final to select 2 teams that qualify for the Main Event. In this round, it will use the single elimination best of 3 (Bo3) and final match best of 5 (Bo5) systems.

2. Formats for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for Women (MLBB Women)

For the MLBB Women category, it will be divided into two stages, namely the Open Qualification/Group Stage, and the Playoffs.

For the Open Qualification/Group Stage, 256 teams will be divided into 4 groups using the single elimination best of 1 (Bo1) system. Later, only 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Open Qualification Final.

In the Open Qualification Final, the system that will be used is Round Robin or Best of 2 (Bo2). From there, only one team will qualify for the 2023 President Cup Esports Main Event.

The other seven teams that don't qualify will be played in the Playoff round to fight for one more ticket to the Main Event. In this round, the double elimination best of three (Bo3) system will be used.

3. Formats for the MLBB Men (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang)

For MLBB Men, it will be divided into several stages, namely Regional Qualification, Open Qualification, Closed Qualification, Group Stage, Playoffs, and the 2023 Esports President Cup Main Event.

In Regional Qualification, only one team will qualify for the Group Stage, while in the Open Qualification and Closed Qualification, only two teams will be selected from each stage to qualify for the Group Stage.

Thus, there will be six teams that will compete in the Group Stage, which will be added from one invited team. They will fight over two tickets to the Main Event. This round will use the Round Robin Best of Three (Bo3) system.

The four teams that don't get tickets will play in the Playoff round to fight for two more slots in the Main Event. In this round, the Round Robin Best of Three (Bo3) system will be used.

That means, there are four teams that will compete in the 2023 Esports Presidential Cup Main Event. They will compete with a single elimination best-of-five (Bo5) system.

• Group Stage: 3 - 7 September 2023
• Playoffs: 11 - 13 September 2023

3. Schedules for the MLBB Men (Mobile Legends) for 2023 President Cup Esports (PPE)

• Regional Qualifications: 14 - 16 and 21 August 2023
• Closed Qualifiers: 23 - 27 August 2023
• Open Qualifiers: 18 - 20 and 25 - 27 September 2023
• Group Stage: 29 September - 3 October 2023
• Playoffs: 7 - 8 October 2023
• Grand Final: 21 - 22 October 2023

2023 President Cup Esports Prize Pool

Almost the same as last year, this time, the 2023 President Esports Cup provides a number of prizes with a fantastic total. Yes, the prize pool for the 2023 President's Cup Esports this time is Rp2 billion.

How to Watch the 2023 President Cup Esports
