The PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2021 match has ended with Valdus Esports (Thailand) as the champion in the East region and A7 eSports (Brazil) as the champion in the West region.

As PMWI 2021 ends, Director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports, James Yang, proudly announces PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021 which will be the next international tournament.

Through a short 2 minute 23 second video uploaded on the PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube channel, James Yang explained the schedule, how to select a team, and the PMGC 2021 prize pool.

Like PMGC 2020, PMGC 2021 will be divided into the League phase which will be held in November-December 2021, and the Final phase which will be held in January 2022.

Teams wishing to participate in PMGC 2021 must prove themselves in the national qualifiers, by collecting high points in 2 seasons of PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL).

Teams that do not win the PMPL can also participate in PMGC 2021 if they record impressive achievements in regional tournaments, for example, the PMPL SEA Championship.

More detailed information about the total slots obtained by each country will be announced in the near future.

In terms of prizes, PMGC 2021 offers a prize pool of USD6 million or equivalent to Rp86 billion, which is also the largest prize pool in the history of mobile game esports. This nominal is 3 times larger when compared to PMGC 2020.
