In celebration of the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on Nintendo Switch, Pokemon GO is having a special event. Part 1 - Pokemon Brilliant Diamond runs until November 18. Sinnoh-region Pokemon will spawn more often in the wild. The three Sinnoh starter Pokemon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup will all appear wearing Lucas’ hat.
Mime Jr. will have its debut in the game and can be hatched from 7 km Eggs during this event. Previously, Mime Jr. could only be hatched from 5 km Eggs at Pokestops in Europe. However, this time, Trainers can hatch this Pokemon from 7 km Eggs. 7 km Eggs can only be obtained from Gifts. Keep in mind that your Egg and Pokemon slots must not be full when opening Gifts to get 7 km Eggs.
It’s time to hatch 7 km Eggs, Trainers! In addition to Mime Jr., you can also get Budew, Bonsly, Happiny, and Riolu, all of them have their own Shiny forms. All of these baby Pokemon eggs have rare Shiny forms. The bonus you’ll receive during this event is that regular Incubators require half the distance whereas super Incubators only require 1/3 of the distance for you to hatch your Eggs.
Bear in mind that to hatch these Eggs, you need to move around using a Google Fit. And, usually, the distance won’t count if you’re riding a vehicle at high speed.
There are lots of Shiny Pokemon that you can find in the wild. It’s a great chance to catch the Shiny forms of Seel, Poochyena, Burmy, Buizel. There are also new Sinnoh starter-inspired costumes that you can get. Good luck in catching Mime Jr. and the Shinies, Trainers
