FIFA fans around the world are celebrating now. The reason is, Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that they will no longer use the name FIFA for their football game. More than that, EA promises a number of big changes in the game. Where the soccer game series made by EA is now called EA Sports FC 24 which was just announced.

EA released the first trailer for EA Sports FC 24, along with covers for their Ultimate edition featuring various football stars. EA plans to provide a deeper understanding of the game by releasing a gameplay trailer and more details later this week, on July 13th.

However, this initial appearance received mixed responses from gamers. Many criticized the cover design of the Ultimate edition, with some considering it to be closer to the cover of The Sims game than a football game. Some also criticized the faces of the players on the cover which they felt were less similar and seemed strange.

Surprisingly enough, two football superstars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, did not appear on the cover. In fact, young star Kylian Mbappe was also absent. This might mark a generational change, not only in the game series but in the world of football itself.

Regarding the release date, according to a well-known dataminer, billbil-kun, EA Sports FC will be released on September 29, 2023. However, they hasn't mentioned any details regarding the gameplay and new features offered by this game.

Whatever the opinions of gamers, it cannot be denied that this is an important moment for EA and football games. Only time will tell what the final outcome of EA Sports FC 24 will be. Let's wait and see.
