The volleyball-themed anime series entitled Haikyuu!!, is an anime series that is quite popular among fans of the sports genre and anime fans in general. The anime is an adaptation of the popular manga series by Haruichi Furudate in 2011 and ended the series in July 2020. Shueisha published the 45th and final volume of the manga in November 2020. Meanwhile, the television anime adaptation was first produced by Production IG and premiered in April 2014. And now the story series continues into the big screen film, Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle has been confirmed in Indonesia since it premiered in Japan last February.

Haikyuu!!'s story begins with the main character, Hinata Shoyo, who has a love for volleyball until finally, he decides to become a member of the Karasuno High School volleyball team. Since middle school, he has joined the volleyball team at his school and lost against Kageyama at his opponent's middle school. When he entered high school and joined Karasuno, Hinata met Kageyama again, slowly he and his friends began to revive their school's volleyball team and began competing against other schools.

One of the schools that Karasuno is fighting against is Nekoma High School. This opposing team is one of the strongest opponents among the national high school competitions throughout Japan. In the national competition which will be broadcast on Haikyuu!! Movie later, Karasuno will face Nekoma. 1. Tetsuro Kuroo

Kuroo is the captain of the Nekoma team, he takes the position as a middle blocker on this team and is quite known as an expert at provocation who is quite cunning when teasing his opponents. Kuroo is also quite outspoken in conveying negative comments towards other people. Even so, he upholds sportsmanship in every match. He is also recognized as a serious and observant figure when fighting his enemies. As captain, he is also recognized as a strong and responsible team leader.

2. Nobuyuki Kai

This third-year student at Nekoma High School is a wing spiker and vice-captain on the Nekoma High School boys' volleyball team. Kai is a fairly calm figure and mostly stays behind his team members. He doesn't talk much but when he speaks he is very polite. His appearance has close-cropped black hair and eyes that make him appear relaxed and approachable.

3. Morisuke Yaku

Yaku is a third-year student at Nekoma High School, on the volleyball team. His position is as Libero on the team. Overall, Yaku is an honest, straightforward, and hardworking person who is very confident in his skills as a libero and cares about his team. Despite this, he can also be very angry, especially towards Lev, who makes Yaku "scary", this anger is usually in response to Lev unwisely commenting on Yaku's body height.

4. Taketora Yamamoto

Taketora is a second-year student at Nekoma High School, he serves as a wing spiker and ace on the Nekoma volleyball team. He has a quite intimidating appearance with a striking mohawk hair color. Like Tanaka in Karasuno, he is stubborn, short-tempered, and easily angered. But he is very proud of his position as the ace of the team.

5. Kenma Kozume

Kenma is a second-year student at Nekoma High School, on the school's volleyball team he takes the position of Setter on the team. He is often referred to as the 'heart' and 'brain' of the team by his teammates. He has a quiet, calm, and analytical personality. Kenma rarely loses his temper, and his hobby is playing video games. You will often see him carrying his favorite console in several scenes in the Haikyuu!! series.

Due to his quiet nature, Kenma rarely speaks his mind because he is afraid of what others think of him and he does not like standing out or being noticed in any way. Kuroo has been his friend since elementary school until now.

6. Shohei Fukunaga

This second-year student at Nekoma High School is a wing spiker on his volleyball team. Fukunaga has wide, cat-like eyes with small pupils. In the anime, he doesn't have many conversations and rarely speaks. He loves comedy and often thinks of funny things to say but never tells anyone so just laughs quietly to himself which sometimes makes him look weird.

7. So Inuoka

He is a first-year student at Nekoma High School. Initially, he was one of the middle blockers on the team, but then his position was changed to wing spiker for the Nekoma men's volleyball team. Inuoka has a slim body and is one of the tallest players on the Nekoma team. Her cheerful personality is similar to Hinata's.

8. Tamahiko Teshiro

This first-year student at Nekoma High School is a reserve position setter and pinch server on the school's men's volleyball team. Teshiro has a relatively small stature among volleyball players. He has short, light-colored hair and thick eyebrows to match. He is usually seen with a calm expression.

9. Lev Haiba

He takes the position as a middle blocker on the Nekoma volleyball team. He is the younger brother of Alisa Haiba. Lev is very tall with very long arms and legs. He had neatly parted light gray hair and narrow cat-like green eyes framed by thin eyebrows. He is a character of Russian descent in the story Haikyuu!!.

10. Yuki Shibayama

Yuki is a first-year student at Nekoma High School and one of the liberos for the school's boys' volleyball team. Shibayama is the shortest player on the Nekoma team. Shibayama is a shy, gentle, and somewhat easily confused person but is firm. Despite not being as talented as the other players on his team, he tries his best to help however he can.
