Skyler is a character who is a result of Free Fire's collaboration with a Vietnamese singer, actor, and songwriter Sơn Tùng M-TP.

Skyler is described as a 26 years old handsome young man who is a CEO of a music agency. Like Sơn Tùng, Skyler is also a superstar.

Skyler is the fifth character in the game who is based on world-famous figures after DJ Alok, Joe Taslim, KSHMR, and the most recent, the world football star from Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7).

Skyler’s Skills

 Riptide Rhythm (active): Unleashes waves that damage Gloo Walls, restores HP based on the number of Gloo Walls installed.

• Level 1: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 50m, CD 60 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 4 points. The recovery effect does not stack.
• Level 2: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 58m, CD 58 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 5 points. The recovery effect does not stack.
• Level 3: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 67m, CD 55 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 6 points. The recovery effect does not stack.
• Level 4: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 77m, CD 51 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 7 points. The recovery effect does not stack.
• Level 5: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 88m, CD 46 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 8 points. The recovery effect does not stack.
• Level 6: Unleashes sonic wave forward, damaging 5 Gloo Walls within 100m, CD 40 seconds. Each Gloo Wall installed will recover HP starting from 9 points. The recovery effect does not stack.

Skyler’s Advantages and Disadvantages

Skyler's Advantages

• Can destroy many Gloo Walls;
• Can restore HP;
• Quick cooldown skill.

The Gloo Wall is indeed an item that you must have in Battle Royale (Classic) mode. There are many strategies that you can apply using this item, especially during the last zone.

Skyler's skill can instantly destroy up to 5 Gloo Walls in front of him so that the enemy can't hide anymore. This effect is far more devastating than the Gloo Wall destroyer weapons:  M82B and AK Blue Flame Draco.

On top of that, every Gloo Wall installed by Skyler will restore his HP for 9 points at the maximum level, meaning that if you install 5 Gloo Walls you can immediately restore 45 HP.

In terms of cooldown, Skyler's skill has the same short CD as Chrono, which is 40 seconds at maximum level. You can reduce its cooldown to just 34 seconds if you have level 3 Rockie on the battlefield.

Skyler's Disadvantages

• His sonic wave only goes forward.

Skyler's skill can indeed destroy Gloo Walls, but only in front of him. Gloo Walls on Skyler's sides and back won’t be affected.

How to Get Skyler

Skyler is the 35th playable character to arrive on Vietnam servers in February 2021. Although the character description is already available in Free Fire globally, there is still no clear information about when this character will be released.

On the Vietnamese server, Skyler can be purchased for 599 Diamonds while the bundled version is priced at 2000 Diamonds.

1. Recommended Pets

The second effect of Skyler's skill is that it can restore HP every time you install a Gloo Wall, meaning you have to stock the Gloo Wall every time. 

Use Mr. Waggor as your pet so you can always make them, or use Beaston to throw your Gloo Wall further. But if you want a shorter cooldown, you can bring Rockie as your pet instead.

2. Use Short Range Weapons

Skyler's skill is most effective when you are at war, especially during the late game when the zone has shrunk. After destroying the opponent's Gloo Wall, use short-range weapons like Vector and M1887 to finish off your opponent.

3. Prevent Enemies from Heal and Revive

Gloo Walls are usually installed by players as a defensive tool while reloading, healing, or reviving. Use Skyler's skill to catch the enemy who is off guard.

4. Skyler’s Skill Combination

If you play the squad mode with 3 other friends, there are two active skill formations that you can try, namely [2 Skylers, 1 Clu, 1 Chrono] or [1 Skyler, 1 Clu, 2 Chronos].

For passive skill combinations, you can try using character skills that can increase running speed (Kelly and Joseph), detector (Moco), offensive characters (Jota, Hayato, and Caroline), or defensive characters (Luqueta and Andrew).
