A little quiz. How many Genin teams you know so far in Boruto? The answer is 5 Genin Teams, they are Team 5 (Denki, Metal, Iwabe), Team 7 (Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki), Team 10 (Shikadai, Inojin, Chocho), and Team 15 (Sumire, Namida, Wasabi). Then, do you still remember in the beginning of Boruto episodes there are few teams introduced? One of them is Team 25 Genin.

This team consists of three Genins, Houki Taketori, Hako Kuroi, and Ranga Kokubo, and unknown Jonin. In Boruto Episode 115, the Jonin has been replaced by Sai Yamanaka as ordered by Sixth Hokage, Kakashi. With the inclusion of Sai, Team 25 pointed their purpose as intel gathering team.

After we saw Team 25 in action, let’s know deeper about each member!

4. Ranga Kokubo

The first member we opened is Ranga Kokubo. One of Boruto’s classmates is a hardworking ninja. He willingly to do many things at the same time. If compared with his teammates, Ranga has normal costume. He wears sleeveless clothes and brown pants.

With tall posture compared to other kids at his age, Ranga has incredible physique. It is proven when he can lift a tower of boxes easily. Aside of that, he has mastered the ninja defense technique, which is Shadanheki jutsu which creates a giant chakra wall which can hold himself from an exploding bomb

3. Hako Kuroi

We know that Hako Kuroi is an eccentric ninja by looking at her clothes. Her outfit is inspired from gothic lolita style, which is feminine style with dark color. Even her bangs covers her eyes.

Even though, Hako is very perceptive. She can see through everything, even to the smallest details with just a glimpse. Because of that, this all-black girl can judge people’s behaviour and can make a quick judgment. 

Hako always brings a bunny doll everywhere she goes. This thing proving that she is a puppet-controller ninja.

2. Houki Taketori

Houki Taketori is Boruto Uzumaki’s classmate who has brown spiky hair and purple eyes. He always seen wearing dark blue clothes covered with light blue jacket. He also wearing a mask, makes him similar to Kakashi in fashion-wise. In addition, when he graduated from the academy and promoted to Genin, Houki wears the headband to cover his left eye. The reason why he wears that way because he idolizes the Sixth Hokage very much.

Houki’s ability is not fully shown - it’s unknown if he had mastered a jutsu similar to Kakashi. But, the thing he’s very proud of is his photographic memory. He can remember everything to the little details. This ability cannot be mastered, but this is his talent since he was born. 

1. Sai Yamanaka

Sai Yamanaka becomes the leader of Team 25 replacing the previous Jonin who is in inactive state because he’s injured after a mission.

As we all know, Sai is an Anbu ninja. In Boruto, he appointed as Anbu director and he’s in charge to sort all intels gathered by other Anbu. From this job, Team 25 will focusing on intel gathering.

So that’s the profile of every Team 25 members. Right now, we are still yet to see them in full potential, but we have seen some of their potential they had and they’re very promising. Are you curious with their technique of gathering intels?
