If we take a look at Sony’s habit when releasing the PS4 and PS5, PS10 will be released in 2055. Why in a hurry?

The gamers definitely can’t wait to welcome the arrival of the latest game console by Sony, the PlayStation 5 (PS5) next year. However, when all the attention is on PS5 that has not released yet, Sony is already considering the future plan by securing the trademarks for PS6 to PS10.
PS10 may be released in a few more decades but this fact doesn’t hinder Sony’s move to file their trademark. With this, Sony has ensured that in the future there will be no other company who trade the "PlayStation" brand.
Registering trademarks in advance is a common thing in technology companies, but what Sony has done is still a big leap considering that Sony only registered PS4 and PS5 trademarks in 2006 or about seven years before PS4 or 14 years before the release of PS5.
If we take a look at Sony’s pattern who releasing a new console for every seven years, the new PS6 trademark is effectively used in 2027. Even worse, if you use the same formula, the PS10 trademark will be used in 2055.
We wonder what Sony's consideration for registering trademarks for the new item that will be released in 35 years later. But this step clearly shows Sony's great commitment to continue to bring new gaming consoles far in the future.
In the midst of the mystery of the design and the features of PS5 that will come out next year, Sony may already have plans about what the PS6 will be like and the future of the game console. Will the game console survive or be replaced by cloud streaming game technology like Google Stadia, what do you think?
