PUBG MOBILE x Kaiju No. 8 officially arrives in the major Version 4.0 update, released on September 4, 2025. This collaboration introduces iconic characters, transformation mechanics, and Kaiju-themed gear that make the gameplay even more thrilling. The latest update will be available until November 4, 2025, bringing a variety of new modes, events, and content.

PUBG MOBILE x Kaiju No. 8 Collaboration

The special PUBG MOBILE x Kaiju No. 8 collaboration runs from September 5 to 30, 2025. Players can add character sets of Kafka Hibino, Reno Ichikawa, Mina Ashiro, Kikoru Shinomiya, and Soshiro Hoshina to their collections. Each set comes with unique idle animations, amplifying the feel of this popular anime crossover.

Not only that, the transformation mechanic also allows players to turn into Kaiju No. 8 during battle. Exclusive melee weapons and two new firearms—one of which can be upgraded—add more strategic options to dominate the battlegrounds.

Through the prize path event and two luck draw events, players have the chance to obtain Kaiju No. 8, No. 9, and No. 10 sets, along with special vehicles such as the Kaiju No. 10 Buggy and the Kaiju No. 9 2-Seat Motorcycle. Other exclusive items like the Kaiju No. 8 Parachute, Preondactyl Glider, as well as Kaiju-themed buddies and ornaments are also available.

Spooky Soiree Theme Mode

Aside from the big Kaiju No. 8 collaboration, Version 4.0 also introduces the Spooky Soiree theme mode. This mode features a ghostly companion named Ghostie, who comes with various abilities including Floating Balloon, Guardian Shield, and Ghost Helm. Eliminated players can also transform into Prankster Ghosts to keep influencing the match.

Other fun additions include the Magic Broom flying vehicle, Haunted Sight with unique zoom capability, and the Wraithmoor Mansion in Erangel and Livik, decorated with supernatural flair.

Classic Mode Updates and New Features

Classic Mode also gets an update with the addition of the Mortar weapon, a Realistic Reloading system, and smoother recoil transitions. Erangel now features an amusement park with a Ferris wheel and interactive swings, adding more variety to the battlefield.

Other enhancements include a Super Smooth graphics option for higher FPS, quick crosshair switching for 4x scopes, and customizable MVP badges.

New UNFAIL Mode

PUBG MOBILE Version 4.0 also introduces UNFAIL, an asymmetrical mode with five players: one Predator against four Survivors. The Predator is equipped with special abilities to hunt down enemies, while Survivors must cooperate to activate terminals and escape through the exit gate.

Seasonal Events and Other Content

This update also brings various special events such as the Mid-Autumn Festival, Day of Gathering, and Crazy Chicken Day. Updates also arrive in Metro Royale with a new solo mode and collectibles, World of Wonder with up to $10 million in creator incentives, as well as Ranked Cycle 9 Season 26 with the Firearm Combat Power system.
