REDMAGIC is a smartphone brand that focuses on gaming smartphone lines. Even though until now it has not been officially released in the country, the enthusiasts for this gaming smartphone are very high because of the interesting innovations it offers. So, at the beginning of 2023, a company from China, Nubia has announced their newest gaming smartphone, namely REDMAGIC 8 Pro.

Citing Techaeris.com, REDMAGIC 8 Pro will come with the latest specifications currently on a mobile gaming device. Where this gaming smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5 RAM coupled with a Red Core 2 chip, and UFS 4.0 storage media technology.

The Qualcomm 8 Gen 2 processor embedded in REDMAGIC 8 Pro is also claimed to have been upgraded, so that it can get a peak speed of up to 3.2 GHz. In addition, there is also an increase in CPU power efficiency of up to 37%, an increase in GPU performance of up to 42%, and an overall power efficiency of up to 50% compared to the previous generation REDMAGIC.

Later, REDMAGIC 8 Pro will come with 12 and 16 GB DDR5 RAM variants and 256 GB and 512 GB ROM variants. Apart from that, this gaming smartphone from Nubia will also come in two versions, namely Dark Blade Warrior and Specter Warrior Edition.

Both versions will also offer screens with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 93.7 with a landscape of up to 6.8 inches using an AMOLED panel. In addition, the front camera section will also be under the screen and will provide a screen display with a very thin bezel.

In terms of design, the shape of the REDMAGIC 8 Pro will be reminiscent of the gaming smartphone design from Razer, only that it comes with a bigger screen and the latest specifications.

The REDMAGIC 8 Pro Specter Warrior Edition variant will still have a cooling fan with RGB lighting features, like the previous generation.

Both versions of REDMAGIC 8 Pro will also have a battery capacity of 6000mAh which supports super fast charging up to 165 Watts. Nubia claims that their newest gaming smartphone can be fully charged in just 13 minutes using this super fast charger adapter. However, in the purchase box for REDMAGIC 8 Pro, a charger adapter with a speed of 80 Watt will be embedded.

For connectivity, REDMAGIC 8 Pro also features Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ ac /ax (dual-band 2.4G\5G) 4*4mimo, 9-antenna design, dual 5G dual- dual-pass card, and Bluetooth 5.3.

Looking at the back of the body, there are three cameras that stand out and line up in the middle position. REDMAGIC 8 Pro is said to have a main camera that uses the Samsung GN5 sensor. Apart from that, REDMAGIC 8 Pro also has a number of interesting features, such as 3 microphones, DTS Ultra X, a 3.5mm audio jack port, Dual X-axis linear motor stereo vibration, to customizable RGB lights on the back.

Price

REDMAGIC 8 Pro itself is currently only available for the China region at a price of USD 575 (around Rp. 8.7 million). Followed by the global version in February 2023 with a slightly more expensive price, namely USD 649 (around IDR 9.8 million) for the 12GB/256GB version and USD 799 (around IDR 12 million) for the 16GB/512GB version.
