Up until 16 February 2022, Registeel can be found in Tier-5 Raid Battles. The Season of Heritage event features the Steel-type Legendary Titan, and it is highly effective in Great and Ultra League PvP battles. Any Trainer should try their best to catch Registeel as it’s an amazing Pokemon to have in their PvP lineup.

The first thing that makes it an amazing Pokemon to have is its ability to withstand attacks. With high Defense and Stamina, this Pokemon doesn’t get fainted easily. Secondly, is its type. Steel-type Pokemon have resistance against numerous other types: Fairy, Flying, Rock, Bug, Steel, Grass, Normal, Psychic, Ice, and Dragon. To make it even scarier, Registeel has a Double Resistance against Poison-type! In short, you’ll be able to counter numerous Pokemon types by having Registeel in your lineup

Thirdly, Registeel has an excellent alternative move for PvP battles. Its Fast Move, Lock-On, quickly fills its Charge Move. The best Charge Moves for it are Flash Cannon, for its STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) bonus, and Focus Blast (Fighting-type), which is reliable enough to be used in other situations. Those were the reasons why Registeel is a must-have for any Trainer. And, if you’re lucky, you can also catch its green Shiny form.

To defeat Registeel in Raid Battles, you can use Fire, Fighting, or Ground-type attacks to get the Super Effective boost. It takes a team of 5 Trainers with standard lineups to defeat it in Raid Battles. The best counters for Registeel are Reshiram, Chandelure, Lucario, Darmanitan (Fire-type), Moltres, and Conkeldurr. Other more common counters are Machamp, Excadrill, or Garchomp. If you manage to defeat Registeel during this event, you’ll have the chance to catch Registeel with the Special Move: Zap Cannon.
