In the world of national esports, the National Student Esports League is not just a competition, but also a training platform for students who love esports. This competition provides an opportunity for students to hone their skills in exciting competitions at the national level. Apart from that, this activity also acts as a means of education and entertainment that promotes a positive and educative Esports ecosystem.
On May 10 2024, the Top 16 round for the Women's category was held, and the four best teams managed to advance to the semifinals which took place on May 12 2024. The four teams that succeeded in advancing were Lambung Mangkurat University, Bina Nusantara University, Kediri State Islamic Institute, and Muhammadiyah University of Malang. This match was broadcast live by Garudaku via their YouTube channel, attracting the attention of the audience with the fierce battle of the heroines from each university in the Land of Dawn.
The first semifinal match pitted Lambung Mangkurat University against Bina Nusantara University. With a mature strategy, Lambung Mangkurat University managed to win the match with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, in the second semifinal, the Kediri State Islamic Institute showed its dominance by beating the Muhammadiyah University of Malang with the same score, 2-0.
The success of these two teams took them to the grand final which was no less exciting. The Kediri State Islamic Institute once again showed their strength by beating Lambung Mangkurat University with a landslide score of 3-0. This victory not only confirmed the superiority of the Kediri State Islamic Institute as champions, but also marked the individual achievement of one of their players, Astr.Xen, who won the MVP.
