It’s about a female writer with special needs, who is deaf and is alone in her forest house. Without realizing it, someone sneaked into her house and an intense incident occurred. This film is dominated by silence and there are also quite a lot of jump-scares in it.

9. Under the Shadow (2016)

The film set in the 1980s is quite intense, where the location of this film is in Iran and during the war between Iraq and Iran. It tells the story of a family where the husband of the family has to go to become a doctor in a war zone, and lives a mother and a child. Horror after horror occurs when the child finds a story about an evil genie who will harm them.

8. The Blackcoat's Daughter (2017)

Comes with 2 different plots but connected at the end, The Blackcoat's Daughter tells the story of an evil spirit from a nun who worships a demon. Tells about a catholic hostel named Bramford where there are rumors of some nuns worshiping the devil, unfortunately these rumors are true and the devil is targeting some students who are still living in the dormitory during holidays.

7. Creep 2 (2017)

No less tense than the first film, Creep 2 still continues the story of a maniac named Josef. This film begins with Sara who is a video artist who finds unusual work on the internet to support her latest work. Finally, she decides to find someone who claims to be a serial killer named Josef and spend a day with him where it is a disaster for herself.

6. We Summon the Darkness (2019)

Having a duration of 91 minutes doesn't make We Summon the Darkness a short horror film, you will hope this film ends soon. Telling about the three women from a heretical sect who are looking for their prey, finally they get good prey, namely 3 men whom she knows from heavy metal concerts. Unaware of anything, the three men as victims invited the three women to the villa they owned. Calamity occurred, the three men were sacrificed to the devil and tormented.

5. Sweetheart (2019)

Tells the story of the horror of survival on an island, Sweetheart presents a horror film that has monsters in it. It’s about a woman named Jennifer who tries to survive after being stranded on an island because her boat is destroyed by the waves. An intense incident occurs when Jennifer realizes that something unusual is happening, and sure enough there are monsters hunting her.

4. Unfriended: Dark Web (2020)

This horror film with an unusual format is quite interesting to watch. Coming with the appearance of Skype, Unfriended: Dark Web can be said to have a dark story about the Dark Web that gives you goosebumps. It’s a story of a young man who finds a laptop from a lost item storage and takes it home. Planning to find the owner he tries to turn on the laptop, unfortunately, a string of strange events happens and catastrophe begins.

3. Alive (2020)

Tells about a gamer who has no life and never leaves his apartment and just finds out that the whole city is in chaos because of a zombie invasion. Alive presents tension after tension that climaxes at the end. Trying to survive in his apartment, the young man finally plans to find a way out with his female neighbor. Limited food supplies and the absence of electricity are of course the main challenge to survive.

2. His House (2020)

Apart from presenting the horror of the Horror genre, it turns out that His House also touched on several social issues in it. It’s about a refugee couple from Sudan who is said to have no place to live. They decided to live in an old house with the aim of having shelter. Unfortunately, incident after incident occurred in the house they lived in. However, the two couples were hesitant to report about the strange events to the local police as they are refugees.

1. Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight (2020)

Just like the horror thriller story Friday the 13th which tells of young men who camped in the forest. Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight presents a horror story where the forest is not a beautiful and cool place to live in. A number of young men found their friend disappeared at the camp, only to find them in a lifeless state. Of course this sent them into a panic and tried to get out of the camp. The tall assassin who was chasing the young men was very scary and exactly like Jason Vorhess.
