Aim Lab is a third-party aim trainer that you can use if you want to practice your aiming skills in FPS games. Aim Lab is a quite popular app among VALORANT players — they usually do the routines in Aim Lab to get better at shooting.

For those of you who want to try using Aim Lab yet are still unsure which exercises and routines should you take, be sure to check out this article!

1. Aim Lab Exercises for Beginners

If you’re new to FPS games like VALORANT and are willing to learn the basics and fundamentals regarding aiming to improve your accuracy, you may want to take this routine.

  • Linetrace (Flicking) 10 minutes – Linetrace is highly useful for forming your muscle memory in making precise, accurate, and quick aiming.
  • Spidershot (Flicking) 10 minutes – Once you take Linetrace for 10 minutes or about 10 repetitions, you can move to Spidershot. In this exercise, you’ll train your flick and reaction time.
  • Motiontrack (Tracking) 10 minutes – This exercise will train you to track your targets more efficiently. Therefore, you’ll get used to tracking moving targets while keeping your crosshair right on them. Motiontrack will also train your wrist in moving the mouse more accurately, just like Linetrace.

10-Minute Break

  • Microshot (Precision) 10 minutes – This task will help players to adjust their micro and wrist control – which is an important basis for being able to aim properly.
  • Spidershot (Speed) 10 minutes – Spidershot (Speed) is an exercise that focuses on improving your flick. The crucial aspect of flicking lies entirely in the player's reaction and muscle memory. Flickshot is the hardest aiming technique to learn as it requires you to be able to shoot accurately and quickly.
  • Spidershot (Precision) 10 minutes – This task will help you get a better accuracy level as you move up from Spidershot (Speed). While carrying out this task, it’d be better for you to take your time and focus on maintaining high accuracy.

This routine playlist takes about 1 hour to finish, yet your aiming skill will surely improve if you’re being consistent with these exercises.

2. Aim Lab Exercises for Intermediate Players

Once you reach Silver or Gold Rank in VALORANT, you may want to follow this series of Aim Lab routines to up your game and help you climb higher ranks.

  • Microflex (Flicking) 10 minutes – This exercise will train your flick, precision, and micro-adjustment of your mouse movements.
  • Reflexshot (Flicking) 10 minutes - In this exercise, you’ll need to make quick and precise mouse movements. You need to focus on reacting to randomly appearing targets. In other words, this task will train your reflexes and your flickshot skill.
  • Strafebot (Tracking) 10 minutes – This task will help you track moving targets who are also strafing, which is a common situation that players in Gold Rank and above find themselves in. Therefore, you’ll get used to dealing with strafing opponents after completing this exercise.

10-Minute Break

  • Microshot (Speed) 10 minutes – You’ll hone your ability on making precise micro-movements and put targets on the crosshair for you to shoot them. Focus on gaining momentum/pace, and not accuracy in this task!
  • Reflexshot (Precision) 10 minutes – This one is the complete opposite of Microshot (Speed) as you need to focus on accuracy while maintaining the speed.

Just like the beginners’ routines, you’ll probably notice that your aim is getting better if you’re being consistent.

3. Aim Lab Exercises for Advanced Players

Once you’re getting used to the movements in VALORANT and are confident of your aim to compete at the Platinum Rank and above, you probably want to maintain and improve your aim. Therefore, this playlist will help you keep your aim consistent and precise, and polish your reaction time.

  • Gridshot (Flicking) 15 minutes – This exercise will help improve your hand movements. You can use your newly-acquired muscle memory from previous exercises to get a high score — making quick and accurate shots.
  • Timingshot (Flicking) 10 minutes – This one will help you to hold angles and increase your reaction time. Having a good reaction time is key as even if you’re able to spot moving targets around you, you’ll still need to react just in time.
  • Spheretrack (Tracking) 10 minutes – Spheretrack (Tracking) will help you improve your tracking skills to lock on slow-moving targets. After completing this exercise, you’ll find it easier to lock on your targets.

10-Minute Break

  • Motionshot (Speed) 10 minutes – This task will help your flicks on moving targets — something that you’ll deal with often in VALORANT. Motionshot (Speed) will improve your reaction and muscle memory, rather than shooting your targets consciously.
  • Motionshot (Precision) 10 minutes – Compared to Motionshot (Speed), this exercise has a farther range and also covers micro-adjustments. By practicing Motionshot (Speed & Precision), you’ll improve your shooting speed and accuracy.

Once you have great reaction time and gain reliable muscle memory, you will be undefeated when holding your angles.

4. Aim Lab Exercises for Experts

These exercises are far more difficult and require lots of focus. Speed is also an important aspect of these exercises. If you’ve already established a good muscle memory, you may want to use this playlist to further increase your aim.

  • Spidershot 180 (Flicking) 15 minutes – This exercise will help you perfect your flick skills and adjust to tiny targets at all ranges and any distance horizontally. Your goal in this task is to shoot targets at high speed while also maintaining accuracy.
  • Sixshot (Flicking) 10 minutes – You’ll have to carry out this task just as the same as you do with Spidershot, as Sixshot (Flicking) requires precision to make flickshot naturally and re-adjust to smaller targets.
  • Freetrack (Tracking) 10 minutes – To improve your tracking skills, you need to take this exercise. Stay still when tracking your targets, and focus on tracking their heads instead.

10-Minute Break

  • Strafeshot (Speed) 10 minutes – In this task, the targets move slowly and appear bigger. Thus, try not to miss any target while shooting at high speed.
  • Circleshot (Precision) 10 minutes – This task will help you re-adjust better, make better flickshots, and reacts to moving targets quickly. Focus on shooting the targets while they’re changing directions.

Once you’ve managed to get high scores in these tasks, you’ll learn that you’re aim is now above average. All you need to do is to learn the movements and maintain your understanding of them to climb the ranks easier in VALORANT.

Are Aim Lab Exercises Really Impactful to Your Game?

According to my own experience Aim Lab greatly helps for improving my aiming skills. However, try not to jump into VALORANT immediately after completing the Aim Lab as your hands and wrists are probably sore and you might experience whiffs during the game.

You can take on the Aim Lab in your spare time such as before or after sleeping to build muscle memory.

Once you’re consistent with your practice, your shooting skills will gradually improve.

So, those were the recommended Aim Lab exercises for VALORANT players. Stick around for more anime and gaming info, and make sure to follow Dunia Games on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
