So what are the interesting things about Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode 1? Let's discuss what important things are in the first episode.
Review of Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode 1
1. Sanemi and Obanai Attract the Audience's Attention
The most interesting part of the first episode was the cool rescue action of Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa and Snake Hashira Obanai Iguro when they chased a demon who kidnapped a woman. They came to an abandoned castle house, where the location was a gathering place for demons. During the fight where Sanemi and Obanai tried to chase the demon, they accidentally found Infinity Castle, which is the place where the final battle of this series will be. Full of curiosity about what this place is, unfortunately, this episode has not yet revealed anything further about Infinity Castle.
2. The Mark of Awakening of Demon Hunters
The Hashira answered Ubuyashiki Kagaya's call to hold a meeting. However, Kagaya-sama herself could not face the meeting directly due to her illness getting worse, in the end, Amane chaired the meeting. The Hashira meeting this time discussed the incident that occurred when fighting the Upper-Level Four and Five Demons, where Mitsuri Kanroji and Muichiro Tokito reportedly had unique spotting patterns appear on their bodies.
Therefore, Amane asked for an explanation as to how these spots could appear on the two of them. Because so far the signs that have appeared on the demon slayers have only been on Tanjiro. The spots, which are similar to devil marks, reappeared after a long time and made many people torture themselves because they couldn't make them appear, so they were kept secret all this time. Hearing this, Kanroji and Tokito tried to explain how they felt the effects of their abilities when the mark appeared, and what they felt to be able to awaken the mark.
3. Tanjiro Gets a New Sword
When Tanjiro had recovered better, Tanjiro chatted with one of the guards accompanying him about the smiths who had to move to another, safer place. At that time Zenitsu and Inosuke had also returned from their mission and the trio met again. Then there was Haganezuka who came covered in sweat and shaking and brought a new katana for Tanjiro. Tanjiro's new sword now has a sword guard that Rengoku gave Tanjiro. Tanjiro's sword blade has also now been sharpened with a pitch-black blade with good quality iron, indicating that its previous owner was a strong swordsman.
4. The Hashira Training Begins
In the meeting between the Hashiras, Amane asked the Hashira to create an exercise that could be used to awaken the spots. Meanwhile, Giyu, who refused to take part in the training, chose to leave, leaving the six remaining Hashira behind. Because Giyu feels like he has nothing to do with him, even though Giyu himself is a Hashira, who knows what he thinks. This almost caused the Hashiras to fight, to the point that Gyomei had to calm them down with a little 'bluff' so that they remained seated and discussing with each other.
The Hashira's training plans were completed, and training began three days later as they raced against time before Muzan managed to find them. Because currently it is assumed that the devils are targeting Nezuko, the appearance of devils has decreased quite drastically. So training had to be carried out as soon as possible, and they also invited former Hashira Uzui Tengen and persuaded Giyu to join in training other demon slayers.
5. Inviting Tamayo to Collaborate
At the end of the episode, Tamayo is surprised by the arrival of a raven, a messenger from a demon hunter. She was very surprised because she thought he and Yushiro had succeeded in hiding well from the demon hunters. Even though she came peacefully, Tamayo was still wary of the arrival of this messenger crow, because Tamayo did not fully trust the Ubuyashiki. The reason the envoy came to Tamayo was to invite him to work together to research knowledge about the demon body and pharmacology with Shinobu Kocho to examine the changes that had occurred to Nezuko with her. Ubuyashiki also invited Tamayo to come to Ubuyashiki's residence to work together to find a way to stop Muzan.
So, that's all of the details about what important things you can find from Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode 1. What do you think? Even though this first episode is still the calm before the storm, and has lots of comedic touches, it is starting to usher in the end of the story.
