The Alter Ego MPL ID S16 roster has finally been released. Alter Ego became the second team to reveal its player lineup after Team Liquid ID. From all the rumors that had circulated earlier, it seems many were off the mark.

Alter Ego has remained confident in the process they’ve gone through. As we all witnessed, their roster in Season 15 was already strong and delivered several surprises. They had looked convincing throughout the regular season.

Even though they eventually lost in the playoffs, it felt far too early to make major changes. In the end, trusting the process became essential. Alter Ego retained 80 percent of their previous roster heading into MPL ID S16.

Only Haizz and Dreams were missing from the lineup. The rest of the core remained intact, with some exciting new additions brought in.

Alter Ego MPL ID S16 Roster

The Alter Ego MPL ID S16 roster was officially announced via their YouTube and Instagram accounts. With a cooking-themed video led by Nino in search of the “perfect recipe,” the identities of the players were finally unveiled.

Head coach Xepher is now accompanied by STYX, a former analyst for Alter Ego who had briefly moved to MDL last season and has now made his return.

From the previous MPL roster, Nino, Hijumee, Arfy, and Rine have remained. Meanwhile, three new players have been promoted from Alter Ego X, the MDL squad that recently won the championship—Alekk (also known as Owenn), Cyruz, and Yazuke.

Their promotion from MDL to MPL makes this roster refresh particularly exciting. With a winning background, these new faces bring momentum and fresh firepower to the team.

Alter Ego’s campaign in MPL ID S16 will certainly be something to watch. Especially with the potential additions teased in the caption of their YouTube announcement video.
