During the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 Esports World Cup, every team not competing, except RRQ Hoshi and ONIC, has been preparing to build their strengths before the MPL ID Season 16 roster lock, which apparently ends at the end of July.

In a live stream on his YouTube channel, Pak AP, along with Xepher and Age, discussed the RRQ Hoshi MPL ID Season 16 roster. First, Pak AP asked Xepher when all MPL ID Season 16 teams would lock their rosters. It turns out that the lock period is at the end of July.

"Let me tell you, Ken. I'll tell you this. When will your team lock their roster?" said Mr. AP. "By the end of the month, anyway. By the end of this month," replied Xepher. "Your team is at the end of the month, so it's already fixed, right? Only 31 players will make it to the finals," Mr. AP added.

Mr. AP stated that RRQ Hoshi and ONIC received a dispensation from Moonton regarding their locked roster until the 4th. Mr. AP admitted there was no problem with this because the RRQ Hoshi MPL ID Season 16 roster hasn't changed much. This suggests that the RRQ Hoshi MPL ID Season 16 roster will likely consist of the players currently competing in the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup.

"RRQ and ONIC were given a dispensation. Do you know what date? The 4th! So, if I'm not mistaken, our team will be returning on the 3rd or 4th (of August)," said Mr. AP. "Let's say we return home on the 3rd, and arrive in Indonesia on the 4th, just a few hours after that, and then we lock the roster," he explained.

"I'm locking the roster this time, and I'm leaving it alone. Do you know why? There aren't many changes to the roster," he concluded.
