The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific 2025 Stage 2 competition continues with the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals featuring four top teams. The Lower Bracket Round will undoubtedly see the losing team eliminated. The winning team will continue their journey to secure a ticket to Valorant Champions Paris 2025.

Among the four remaining teams, T1 will face Nongshim Redforce, while DRX will face Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ). Previously, in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, T1 fell to Paper Rex, while DRX suffered a surprise defeat to TALON, sending them down to the Lower Bracket. Meanwhile, Nongshim Redforce defeated Detonation FocusMe, and Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) defeated Gen.G Esports to remain in the competition.

For the record, representing the Pacific region, Paper Rex secured the first ticket to Champions Paris. T1 then defeated Nongshim RedForce and advanced to the Champions League, following Paper Rex. Now, there are only two remaining Champions League spots, and Indonesian team Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) is certainly eyeing them and won't let the opportunity pass them by.

Facing DRX will be their second meeting in the VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 competition series. If Xffero and his teammates can defeat DRX, RRQ's qualification for Champions Paris 2025 is guaranteed. However, if DRX wins, RRQ's chances of qualifying for Champions Paris 2025 will still be determined.

Defeats DRX 2-0, RRQ Qualifies for Champions Paris 2025

DRX will face Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in a Best-of-3 (BO3) series. The losing team will be eliminated, and the winning team will advance to the next round. As mentioned, a win against DRX would secure RRQ's place at Champions Paris 2025.

Both teams played on three maps: Icebox (chosen by RRQ), Corrode (chosen by DRX), and Ascent, the deciding map. Game 1, Icebox, saw both teams battle fiercely from the start. RRQ briefly took the lead, but DRX managed to close the gap. RRQ eventually regained the lead by a significant margin, with the King of Kings' play appearing convincing.

The first half ended with a score of 8-4 in favor of RRQ. The second half started well for RRQ, widening their lead. DRX tried to catch up again after securing a bonus round in the second half. Brilliant play from Bryan "Kushy" Setiawan allowed RRQ to completely dominate as attackers. They secured match point, taking a step towards securing their first point. In the deciding round, RRQ lost Ngo "Crazyguy" Cong Anh early on. RRQ responded by defeating HYUNMIN. Two DRX players fell, RRQ's chances of winning increased.

With two players remaining, the 2v4 situation favored RRQ. Mako and Flashback remained, managing to turn the tide and extend DRX's lead. The next round, Maksim "Jemkin" Babushkin was taken down early. RRQ took down two players in a 4v3, but the situation remained tense. Xffero was taken down, and a 3v3 ensued. Crazyguy took down Flashback, and a quick trade ensued.

Leaving Crazyguy against Mako, the spike was deployed and Mako attempted to defuse. Unfortunately, Crazyguy managed to get a kill, and RRQ ultimately took Game 1, Icebox, with a score of 13-7. Moving on to Game 2, Corrode, RRQ played as defenders in the first half, while DRX became the attackers. A quick trade ensued early in the game, and the 2v3 quickly transitioned into a 2v2.

RRQ was left with Jemkin and Crazyguy, while DRX was left with Estrella and Flashback. Jemkin attempted a defuse, but Flashback managed to get kills on the two remaining RRQ players and win the round. The next round, Kushy was kidnapped early in the game. Jemkin managed to trap three DRX players and easily take them down, marking a turning point.

The situation turned for RRQ. The remaining Mako and Flashback were unable to do much, and RRQ managed to equalize. DRX managed to score in the next round and take a temporary lead. RRQ turned the tables again, making the game even more difficult for DRX. The score continued in the first half, and the first half ended with a 6-6 tie.

Taking advantage in the second half, RRQ regained the lead over DRX. DRX continued to chase, with HYUNMIN's play being quite brilliant. Nevertheless, RRQ managed to win round after round, increasing their chances of victory. In the 20th round, a quick trade resulted in the defeat of Crazyguy and HYUNMIN. A 3v4 situation occurred, Mako was successfully taken down by Xffero.

Flashback was defeated, and RRQ attempted to penetrate A-site. Estrella managed to take down Jemkin, but Kushy quickly countered. The Spike was placed in a very short time, leaving free 1ng remaining. Kushy was taken down, and Xffero finally secured free 1ng, giving RRQ match point. The decisive round was for RRQ, with Jemkin taking down Mako.

Jemkin disappeared, and a trade occurred mid, costing RRQ. A 2v2 situation ensued, with Xffero remaining with Monkey, while Flashback had free 1ng. The Spike was placed, Monkey was taken down, and Xffero was unable to do much. The next round, Mako took down Jemkin early. Monkey countered, leveling the game. Crazyguy secured Estrella, and the Spike was placed. A 3v3 situation ensued, with Xffero securing free 1ng, and a 3v2 ensued. Flashback faced Kushy and Monkey, but Hyunbin managed to take down Kushy, leaving Xffero in a 1v1 against Hyunmin.

Trying to get close to Xffero, Xffero's peek resulted in a headshot on HYUNMIN, and RRQ's qualification for Champions Paris 2025 came true. RRQ defeated DRX with a convincing 2-0 score, ensuring the King achieved another milestone by qualifying for Champions Paris 2025. It was truly touching, with players shedding tears after the match.

It was an extraordinary moment, silencing all doubts as RRQ made history once again. They secured a ticket to the international Valorant competition after previously competing in the Valorant Esports World Cup (EWC) and Masters Toronto. It was truly an incredible victory. RRQ qualified for Champions Paris 2025, becoming the second Indonesian team to qualify for the Champions League.
