However, RRQ Valorant managed to turn the tide and win by defeating two strong South Korean teams, Gen.G Esports and Nongshim Redforce. Unfortunately, they suffered another defeat against DRX.

As a result, RRQ Valorant's only way to qualify for the VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 playoffs was by defeating Team Secret. A win would secure their place in the playoffs. Team Secret, on the other hand, would have to accept defeat, as their chances of advancing were slim.

The match between Team Secret and RRQ Valorant will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, with both teams playing in a best-of-three series (BO3). As previously mentioned, if RRQ Valorant wins, they will advance to the playoffs, and Team Secret will be officially eliminated.

Both teams will play on three maps: Ascent (chosen by Team Secret), Icebox (chosen by RRQ), and Sunset, the deciding map. This will be a crucial match for RRQ Valorant in determining their future. In game 1, Ascent, the two teams competed fiercely early on.

Despite being neck and neck, RRQ managed to outscore Secret. Tactic after tactic was successfully thwarted, and RRQ closed the first half with a score of 9-3. In the second half, RRQ remained evenly matched after securing the second pistol round. In fact, they even advanced smoothly enough to secure match point.

However, this is where RRQ's nightmare began. Playing as the attacker, RRQ stagnated and became overwhelmed. As a result, Team Secret continued to rack up points. RRQ even failed to close the game, and Secret managed to turn the tables. The second half ended with the score tied, and the two sides went into extra rounds. RRQ regained the lead after securing the first extra round.

Secret leveled the score again at 13-13. Team Secret's swift attacks earned JessieVash and his teammates match point. In the deciding round, RRQ attempted a quick attack. Instead, RRQ players began to fall to KellyS.

JessieVash secured a kill, and KellyS ultimately served as the executioner, sealing Secret's comeback victory with a score of 15-13. On the second map, Icebox, RRQ went on a rampage. Having established a commanding lead from the start, Team Secret was rendered helpless. Jemkin and his teammates' play was impressive.

Without mercy, the first half ended with a 12-0 lead for RRQ. In the second half, Secret began to build up their points. In the 17th round, RRQ successfully planted a spike in area B. A 5v5 ensued, and Crazyguy was captured early on. No problem, Xffero and Jemkin took down Secret's players.

Finally, RRQ tied the score at 1-1 after a 12-4 victory on Icebox. In the deciding game, Sunset, RRQ again dominated early on. Secret was completely overwhelmed. Leading for six rounds, Secret began to rally in the seventh round. Secret slowly recovered and finally closed the first half with a score of 9-3.

RRQ continued to surge in the second half. RRQ even managed to secure match point, putting pressure on Team Secret. In the deciding round, RRQ successfully penetrated the A site. A trade ensued, with players from both teams taking each other down. JessieVash was left to duel with Xffero and Jemkin.

Jemkin was taken down, and time was running out for a defuse. Ultimately, despite JessieVash securing an Xffero Spike, RRQ Valorant secured a 13-3 victory, sealing a 2-1 victory over Secret, securing their place in the VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 2 playoffs.
