The Sakamoto Days anime has been running until episode 9 until this article was written. During that episode, Sakamoto showed several amazing transformations while fighting. He was able to change into thin and fat whenever he wanted. Before getting married and still being an assassin, Sakamoto had a thin body. But his body changed into fat after getting married and having children.
The author has several wild theories that explain why Sakamoto could do that. First, Sakamoto's fat body is just a decoration. To trick the assassins in order to keep his family safe, Sakamoto uses certain equipment that makes his body look fat.
At one point, he can remove the equipment so that his movements become better when fighting. That's why Sakamoto only becomes thin when he fights. In Sakamoto Days, something like that is very possible, considering that Sakamoto also faces opponents who modify their own bodies like Kashima.
The second theory is that Sakamoto has been holding his breath all this time to become thin when fighting. Sakamoto used to be thin, but he became fat after getting married. But after getting fat, Sakamoto learned something that could make him as thin as he used to be. The goal is of course to improve his movements when he fights.
Do you agree with the theory above? Or maybe you have another theory that explains how Sakamoto's body can become thin when fighting?
