Ahead of the release of FAST X in Indonesia, Universal Pictures International collaborates with Garasi Drift for a special event.

The Fast and Furious has been a global sensation for more than two decades, with fans flocking to watch every new release of the franchise. The plot of the franchise has evolved from street races to theft and espionage, while also keeping the main theme: fast cars, intense action scenes, and of course, family.

This month, Universal Pictures International announced the release of FAST X, which is slated to hit Indonesian theaters on 17 May 2023. With the tagline “The end of the road begins”, the 10th entry of the Fast & Furious Saga follows the last ride of the Fast & Furious global franchise that is entering its third decade.

Universal Pictures International Collaborates with Garasi Drift

Celebrating the release of FAST X in Indonesia, Universal Pictures International joins forces with Garasi Drift, a community dedicated for Indonesian car enthusiasts, for FAST X - Drift & Dine with Garasi Drift.

This collaboration offers a drifting experience inspired by the iconic scenes from the Fast & Furious franchise. Aside from that, the event also features replicas inspired by the iconic cars from Fast & Furious, the black-orange Mazda RX-7 Veilside used by Han in the drifting scene in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and the orange Toyota Supra MK IV 1994 used by Brian in The Fast and the Furious.

Julius Daniel Suhakri, Head of Marketing Universal Pictures International, stated, “Throughout the 23-year history of The Fast and Furious, one thing remains consistent, Fast fans are like no other fans out there. Therefore, Universal Pictures International proudly announces the release of the 10th movie from the Fast & Furious Saga, FAST X. In celebration of the return of the franchise to Indonesian theaters, we are collaborating with Garasi Drift for ‘FAST X - Drift & Dine with Garasi Drift’, which offers Fast & Furious-esque drifting experience.”

FAST X Synopsis

Entering its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast members, the movie will bring back the thrill of speed and skillful driving stunts on the highway. You’ll see various epic elements in this movie, and more.

This movie follows how Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family save his 8-year-old  son (Leo Abelo Perry), who’s become the main target of Dante’s (Jason Momoa) revenge. Now, they’re about to take on the deadliest challenge they’ve ever faced: a deadly threat emerging from the shadows of the past fueled by  grudges, a person who is determined to destroy the family and everything it has.

FAST X will be released in 2D, 3D, 4D and IMAX formats in all Indonesian cinemas simultaneously on 17 May, 2023.
