As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak that still hit Japan, One Piece anime had to be on a hiatus, an indefinite delay on the schedules. The voice casts or seiyuu have also stopped the recording of the new episodes. There are still 3 more episodes of One Piece before the unfortunate hiatus. This step was meant to protect the seiyuu from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luffy’s seiyuu, Mayumi Tanaka revealed in a blog post that One Piece anime is currently withholding the recordings due to the Coronavirus pandemic that’s still happening in Japan. The age of One Piece’s seiyuu was taken into the studio’s considerations to withhold any recordings at the moment.

There will be further information from the studio regarding this decision. We hope that the seiyuu are doing well during the quarantine. Hopefully, this outbreak will soon pass so we can continue to see the excitement in the Wano arc. Wait for other One Piece news on DuniaGames!
