Last week the prestigious SEA Game Awards 2021 was successfully held. The event presented tight competition from a number of indie games from the Southeast Asian region. Interestingly, there are a number of games from Indonesia that have won the category. One of the awards was from the category that was arguably the most prestigious at the event, namely the "Grand Jury Award" which was won by the Coffee Talk game made by a game studio from Tangerang, Toge Productions.

In addition to Coffee Talk, here is a list of winners in each category of the SEA Game Awards 2021:

• Audience Choice Award – Fallen Tear: The Ascension (CMD Studios from the Philippines)
• Best Technology – Biwar: Legend of Dragon Slayer (Devata Games Production from Indonesia)
• Best Visual Art – When The Past Was Around (Mojiken Studio from Indonesia)
• Best Game Design – Rising Hell (Tahoe Games from Indonesia)
• Best Innovation – Airship Academy (Revolution Industry from Thailand)
• Best Storytelling – DeLight: The Journey Home (Dream Team Studio from Malaysia)
• Best Audio – Rising Hell (Tahoe Games from Indonesia)
• Best Student Game – Water Child (UOW Malaysia KDU University College)

SEA Game Awards 2021 itself is an event that is included in the Level Up KL section. Where games from Southeast Asia can see which games have reached a new level of quality. Whoever wins each category will certainly get more attention, be it from those who are interested in playing it or for developers who want to take inspiration. Of the ten categories above, it is quite encouraging that five of them were won by an indie game from Indonesia.
