SEA Games haven’t started yet, but the event already made a scene. Because Cambodia as the host is considered to differentiate the treatment between the Indonesian Esport Team and teams from other countries. This is known from the complaint of the Secretary General of the Indonesian Esport Executive Board (PBESI), Frengky Ong through an Instagram Story upload on Tuesday (11/4) yesterday.

"The Cambodian SEA Games committee host is very chaotic, THB changes every day," wrote the IG account @frengky_ong.

Frengky explained that the committee continued to change the Technical Handbook (THB) at the 2023 SEA Games event in Cambodia. The most highlighted change is regarding the determination of drawing dates and competition dates.

"Drawing and technical meeting on May 5, match (directly) on May 6," Frengky added in his status.

Initially, Frengky thought this was the case for all teams from another country too. But after being re-clarified, it turned out that these difficulties were only experienced by the Indonesian team. This led to the opinion that the host seemed to be deliberately making things difficult in order to trip up the Indonesian Esports National Team.

"It turns out that only the Indonesian Esports Team was treated badly and unprofessionally by the Cambodian SEA Games committee," said Frengky.

From this incident, Frengky worries that the Indonesian National Team will receive more severe pressure and mistreatment ahead of the match. One of his fears is that the accommodation and food provided for the Indonesian Esport Team will be made uncomfortable.

"That's how much effort the host and the national team hatters have to take to tackle the Indonesian Esport National Team," said Frengky.
