Valorant Champions Berlin is just around the corner! Throughout this year, more than 10,000 teams all around the world have competed in the Regional Challengers and International Masters to clinch a spot in the 16 slots in the Champions, the inaugural season of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021.

From December 1–12, the best teams around the world will compete for the Champions Trophy and the VALORANT world title!

Champions is the final event of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 and the culmination of the VALORANT competitive season. The winner of the first VALORANT Champions Tour will take home the title and cash prize.

Tournament Format

Champions Berlin will be the biggest international VALORANT tournament yet. Teams will play in their respective VCT regions, to advance based on three factors: VCT points, number of wins in the Masters final, and 4 Last Chance Qualifiers.

EMEA - 4 Teams

  • Acend;
  • Fnatic;
  • Gambit Esports;
  • Team Liquid.

North America - 3 Teams

  • Cloud9;
  • Sentinels.
  • Team Envy.

Brazil - 3 Teams

  • Vivo Keyd;
  • Furia;
  • Team Vikings.

Korea - 1 Team

  • Vision Strikers.

Japan - 1 Team

  • Crazy Raccoon.

Latin America - 1 Team

  • KRU Esports.

SEA

  • X10 Esports;
  • Team Secret;
  • Full Sense.

The tournament will consist of group play with its own GSL system, followed by an eight-team single-elimination bracket. Teams are divided into four pools based on their last position in the Challenger and their regional strength.

  • Pool 1 - NA #1, EMEA #1, KR, M3 Winner;
  • Pool 2 - NA #2, EMEA #2, LATAM, BR #1;
  • Pool 3 - NA LCQ, EMEA LCQ, SEA #1, JP;
  • Pool 4 - BR 2, SEA 2, SAm LCQ, APAC LCQ.

After that, each team from each pool is randomly assigned to one of the four groups (Group  A-D). If a team is drawn to a group that already has a team from the same region, that team will be put into the next group in alphabetical order.

If a team is the last of its pool, the team will be put into the previous group in alphabetical order, until a valid group is found. After pools are drawn, the results are locked and cannot be moved.

Pool 4 consists of 2 Brazilian teams and 2 SEA teams. To avoid them ending up in the same group, seed #1 for BR and SEA cannot share the same group.

During the Group Stage, the teams will compete in a four-team double-elimination bracket to determine the two winners of each group. In Round 1 of each group, the Pool 1 team will play against the Pool 4 team, whereas the Pool 2 team will face the Pool 3 team.

After the Group Stage, the teams will be randomly drawn for the knockout stage. Four teams that lead their respective groups will be drawn with the runner-ups of other groups.

These teams will then play in an eight-team elimination bracket. The first half will begin with the group leaders playing against the runner-ups.
