Who doesn’t know God of War series? This exclusive Playstation game is developed by Santa Monica Studios that revolves around Kratos, a warrior from Sparta who has a desire to kill every single legendary Greek god in retaliation over his family's deaths. Aside from using his godly powers, Kratos also uses various deadly weapons in his possession. What are those deadly weapons? Take a look at the list down here.

10. Battle Axe

Leviathan is a battle-ax used by Kratos in God of War (2018) released on PlayStation 4. This weapon is shaped like a Viking battle-ax. At the start of the game, this weapon replaces Blades of Exile, the signature chained blades used by him on previous installments. This weapon shares similar traits with Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer) where this ax can return to its owner after being thrown.

9. Nemesis Whip

Nemesis Whip is a weapon that appeared on God of War III. The weapon consists of a pair of chains, each chain ended with three blades akin to claws that produce teal-colored aura. This weapon is created by Hephaestus after Kratos present him with an Omphalos Stone. 

8. Nemean Cestus

In the same game also, Kratos receives a pair of gauntlets named Nemean Cestus. This weapon previously owned by Hercules, but Kratos later use it after defeating him. This weapon is shaped like a lion's head.

7. Claw of Hades

Aside from the Nemean Cestus and Nemesis Whip, Kratos also use a weapon named Claws of Hades. This weapon is available for use after Kratos defeat Hades. Claws of Hades are shaped like Blades of Exiles, but with different function and purpose.

6. Blade of Olympus

Blade of Olympus is a deadly weapon that appeared on a few God of War games, such as Ghost of Sparta, God of War II, and God of War III. This weapon is created by Zeus that used to end the massive war and exile the Titans into Tartarus. With this weapon, the brutal war with Titans ended forever.

5. Spear of Destiny

In God of War II, Kratos must face with Dark Rider, where this adversary wields a deadly weapon called Spear of Destiny. This spear comes with an extraordinary shape with giant size and smithed with purple crystals on each end.

4. Barbarian Hammer

Barbarian Hammer is a weapon owned by Alrik, the Barbarian King in God of War II. After Kratos kills Alrik, he can use this giant hammer as a deadly weapon. Not only comes with massive size, but this hammer also has spikes and imbued with magical properties. Aside from smashing the enemies with it, Kratos can also summon damned souls from the underworld.

3. Gauntlet of Zeus

Gauntlet of Zeus is a giant gauntlet smithed by Hephaestus and used by Zeus to cage Titans and later used by Kratos in Chains of Olympus. This weapon can be used on God of War: Ghost of Sparta, but only on Combat Arena mode. By using the Grave Digger costume the player can turn into Zeus while wielding this weapon.

2. Blade of Artemis

Blade of Artemis is a giant, curved blade that appeared on God of War back in PlayStation 2. This weapon is a gift from Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, to Kratos. This weapon is very deadly as proven by Artemis where this weapon can kill Titans easily when used. Interestingly, this weapon can change its color after being upgraded as well as producing more damage.

1. Blade of Chaos

Blade of Chaos is Kratos’ favorite weapon through the entire series. This weapon is a dual chained blade forged by Ares. This weapon also attached with chains that can broaden its attack range when used in battle. This weapon can give swift and painful strikes to its surroundings.
