SKS, A Semi-Automatic Carbine From Soviet Union

This weapon is a Soviet Union-made weapon back in the World War II days. SKS's name is an acronym of Samozaryadny Karabin sistemy Simonova or Self-Loading Carbine of Simonov.

This weapon was made by a factory named Tula Arsenal in 1949 to 1958, a firearm factory that famous back in Soviet Union days. But the manufacture place of this weapon later moved to 

Izhevsk Arsenal in 1953-1954. 

During the cold war days, this weapon is commonly found in by the Eastern party, like Romania, East Germany, and China.

Like Mini-14, the real shape of this weapon is unlike its counterpart in PUBG. The most common shape of SKS that commonly found has a body and stock made of wood. The version in this game is the modern one.

SKS, The Deadly DMR With Wild Recoil

Like other weapon classes on PUBG, SKS is the variant of DMR with a bigger bullet which is 7.62mm. Like other weapons that using 7.62mm bullets, SKS also has wilder recoil compared to Mini-14. One word that describes this weapon’s recoil is “swinging”.

Why? Because every time after you fired it, SKS will swing far away upwards, and then it’ll return to the starting position, but higher than the previous position. Due to this recoil effect, then you cannot fire SKS in rapid succession. You have to wait for a while and then fire it again. Even though the recoil is wild enough, then as a replacement, it has more damage compared to Mini-14. But another bad news is, in the PUBG PC version, the ammo of this weapon usually goes down after a few meters.

Deadly DMR Weapon With Flexible Attachment!

Another good thing or maybe the bad thing of SKS in PUBG itself is that this weapon can be attached with various attachments or need many attachments to maximize its potential. When using it without any attachment, it has many disadvantages.

Among them are bad recoil, the noisy shot, and only stores 20 bullets in one magazine. But the disadvantages can be reduced by attaching vertical foregrip or thumb grip as a replacement. From the muzzle, like mini, you can choose either one, silencer or muffled recoil. Compensator can muffle recoil while Suppressor can muffle sounds.

For the magazine, surely Ext. Quickdraw or Extended Mag can be your choice to add more the bullet per magazine and can shoot more bullets.
