This article may contain major spoilers, especially for those who haven’t seen the latest episodes of Arcane: League of Legends. So, it’d be better to skip this one if you don’t want to get spoiled.

Silco is one of the characters in the Arcane series who plays an important role in the storyline, especially in the first 3 episodes. Some of you may have been wondering, who Silco actually is, and is he one of the Champions in League of Legends

With that in mind, on this occasion, I’d like to discuss everything we’ve known so far about Silco. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Who is Silco?

Silco is shown as a character who hails from the underground world, who’s also displeased by the injustice and the gap between Piltover and Zaun. He’s been concocting a mysterious potion to stir up terror on Piltover. Along with Singed, Silco is creating a monster, so that Piltover won’t patronize Zaun ever again.

The potion that Silco and Singed created will make any living creature into a ferocious, monstrous beast. It’s the same serum that leads to the creation of Twitch and Warwick, the scourge of Zaun.

The story also reveals the fact that Silco is an old friend of Vander (they even considered each other as brothers) who fought alongside during the uprising against Piltover. However, a conflict has caused a rift between the two -- Vander decides not to use violence to fight Piltover, which led to him having an argument with Silco over their contrasting ideologies.

The conflict between Silco and Vander left Silco to sustain a serious injury. He almost died and got his left eye seriously damaged. Silco accused Vander of abandoning and betraying him, which led to him developing a deep hatred towards Vander.

After Silco survived the incident, he’s been living in the shadows, trying to find his way to exact his revenge on his former associate, justifying any means to destroy Piltover and bring Zaun to its glory.

After many years, Silco eventually manages to create the purple serum that grants any human being injected by it to have horrifying supernatural powers -- creating a monstrous being as previously mentioned.

Based on the last scene of Episode 3, one may assume that Silco is the one who turns Powder into a living weapon of destruction, Jinx. Silco accepts Powder as he knows what it feels like to be betrayed by his own “brother”. Yet at the same time, he also has an ulterior motive of using Powder’s anger to fulfill his goals.

Will Silco be the Next Champion in League of Legends?

So far, there’s no indication that hints at Silco joining League of Legends as one of the playable Champions given that the character has just been introduced in Arcane. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there's no chance for Silco to be a Champion in the game, considering he has a very unique character design, aside from his tragic backstory -- one of the biggest factors for a character to become a Champion in League of Legends.

As a matter of fact, some fans really hope that they’d love to see Silco in League of Legends.
