Yesterday's episode 4 of Solo Leveling told how Jinwoo was getting stronger and improving his abilities. He was even able to defeat the giant blue snake boss with his bare hands in the Instant Dungeon. Jinwoo was even able to defeat the dungeon break monster that threatened the city with just the blade of his broken sword. In this episode, the development of Jinwoo's abilities becomes increasingly visible, not only in his fighting abilities but in Jinwoo's physical body which is starting to change.
In the 5th episode of Solo Leveling, you will be introduced to another S-Rank Hunter after Cha Hae In, who is one of the strongest Hunters. Here, there will also be more interesting and different events from the previous episode, especially in this episode Jinwoo will enter his first C-Rank Dungeon. Instead of being curious, let's discuss directly what important things are in Solo Leveling Episode 5. You have to know that this discussion may contain spoilers for those of you who haven't watched the anime.
Solo Leveling Episode 5 Review
1. Jinwoo is Getting Ripped
At the start of the episode, you are immediately shown how a group of nurses at the hospital where Jinwoo is being treated are talking about Jinwoo's increasingly muscular body. They talked about how her body was very beautiful and had gotten stronger since Jinwoo started exercising at the hospital. They also questioned how his body could get toned so quickly just by exercising a few times. Even his sister, Jinah, was surprised by his physical changes, starting from his height to his body becoming more muscular with visible abdominal muscles. It seemed like Jinwoo was starting to realize the physical changes that were happening to him thanks to the increase in stats from the ability values he had in the System.
2. Baek Yoonho is Introduced
Next, you will be introduced to the figure of Baek Yoonho, one of the seven S-Rank Hunters who have impressive achievements. In a scene that shows him being interviewed on a television show, Baek Yoonho shares how he exercises every day to maintain his strength even when he is not carrying out missions in the Dungeon. According to him, if he doesn't simulate real combat, his abilities will decrease, therefore he continues to do physical training even though he is not facing monsters in the Dungeon.
3. Careful of Choosing Jobs
After being released from the hospital, the house rental bill came, and Jinwoo had to find a way to pay it off. Jinwoo decided to take a job back in the Dungeon after recovering. Even though Jinwoo wanted to make more money to enter advanced dungeons, he couldn't because he was currently still an E-Rank Hunter. If he wanted to enter the advanced dungeon portal, Jinwoo had to re-evaluate. If his Hunter rank increases, he will be able to enter the advanced portal and get more money.
But according to him, this will attract the attention of many people, especially the media, because the condition he is currently experiencing is not widely known by many people, especially since the condition is different from the 'Second Awakening', so, according to him, this will be too flashy and confusing for him. So, Jinwoo chooses to remain silent to find out more about the power he currently has by looking for a safe job.
4. Entering the First C-Rank Dungeon
This time, he would join a party of 6 people led by Hwang Dongsuk, to enter a C-rank dungeon. Because Jinwoo was known as the 'weakest Hunter' and was still at E-rank, Jinwoo was only asked to carry their luggage and supplies, and not fight at all. After reading the contract carefully, Jinwoo agreed to come with their team into the dungeon. Jinwoo also got to know Yoo Jinho, a D-rank Hunter who became an 'additional member' who filled the gap in Hwang Dongsuk's team, because this level of dungeon requires a minimum of 8 people to enter.
Jiwoo actually has a lot of knowledge about Dungeons, but she chooses to be quiet and just listen to the other members, so Jinhoo was surprised when Jinwoo explained a lot about dungeons. In the dungeon, Jinwoo, who had previously remained silent, managed to detect the direction of the sudden arrival of the insect monster thanks to the 'intuition' he had developed in his ability value 'stats'. After successfully defeating the attacking insect monsters, they felt there were other monsters and began to enter the Dungeon deeper.
5. Sold by Hwang Dongsuk
Jinwoo felt quite suspicious of Hwang Dongsuk's team because this team of six people often entered C-rank dungeons. Meanwhile, the C-rank dungeon portal could only be entered by a minimum of 8 members, moreover, they were very united with each other, which indicated that they had been together for a long time. So this continued to make Jinwoo feel 'suspicious' and feel 'worried' about what would happen from the moment he entered the Dungeon. Sure enough, the bad feeling came true. When they had been walking for a long time, they found a 'mine' containing mana stones.
With the excuse of wanting to 'take the equipment' first to take the mana stones, Hwang Dongsuk and his members left Jinwoo and Jinho alone in the room because the boss's room was deliberately closed by them. Jinwoo, who felt suspicious from the start, finally realized that Hwang Dongsuk's team had deliberately entered the C-rank Dungeon with 6 members just to seek 'sacrifice' with additional members for their interests.
This fifth episode ends with Jinwoo starting to show his courage to fight the boss monster. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to see Jinwoo's fight against the giant spider boss monster in this episode. Let's see how it goes in Solo Leveling episode 6 next week.
