Ubisoft's first-person shooter (FPS) franchise titled Far Cry is returning soon. Far Cry 6 was first announced by Ubisoft at the Ubisoft Forward event in 2021 through a cinematic trailer.

This sixth series will be about  politics and how a different view inevitably leads to conflict. Set in a fictional country called Yara located in South America that is ruled by a tyrant.

Yara was a poor country as a result of economic sanctions decades earlier. Poverty in Yara also led to many demonstrations and the people became divided. They demand to get out of the stagnation zone and want a new era that brings prosperity.

But the fictional country is led by a president named Anton Castillo who is known as a tyrant. He intends to rebuild Yara with his ambition and dirty ways. Realizing that there was a rebellion against his leadership, Castillo actually taught something to his son, Diego who was prepared to take his place in the future.

Far Cry 6 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Epic Games Store and Uplay, and Stadia on October 7, 2021. In addition, if gamers have purchased the PS4 or Xbox One version, they can also upgrade to the next-gen console version at no additional cost.
