In the October issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine, it was revealed that a manga adaptation of the Gamera -Rebirth- anime would be coming to the Young Ace Up! Kadokawa on Friday, September 8th 2023. The anime's Twitter account previously revealed a visual for the manga on July 24th 2023, with Cambria Bakuhatsutaro as author of the manga.

The Gamera -Rebirth- anime will premiere globally on Netflix on September 7th 2023. The series will consist of six episodes that will focus on Gamera who will face five kaiju (giant monsters).

A giant tortoise monster capable of spitting fire, Gamera, first appeared in the 1965 Daikaiju Gamera (Gamera the Giant Monster) produced by Daiei. Daiei produced the movie to compete with TOHO's successful giant monster movie, Godzilla. The 12th and most recent movie in the franchise is Chiisaki Yusha-tachi Gamera (Gamera the Brave) which was released in 2006.

Gamera's story has always appealed to fans of kaiju and giant monster movies, with its epic battles and unique design. The presence of this spinoff manga will give fans the opportunity to relive the excitement of seeing Gamera in various action scenes. With the launch of the anime fast approaching, this is the perfect time to introduce more people to this incredible world of kaiju.
