In episode 21 of Spy x Family we were introduced to Agent Nightfall, who became Loid's partner on his mission. She's the lady who disguises as Loid's assistant at the hospital. In episode 22, Fiona Frost, aka Nightfall, joins Loid on a new mission. What kind of challenges will Loid have to deal with in this mission? Will Loid be able to complete the mission this time? And, will Fiona be able to remain focused carrying out the mission alongside her crush? Check out the recap of the episode in this article.

1. Loid’s New Target

In episode 21 of Spy x Family, it was shown how Fiona received a mission from Sylvia "The Handler", in which she's required to visit the Forgers' house. The target this time is Cavi Campbell, who is known as an antique collector, and possesses a very expensive painting called "Lady in the Sun", which will be Loid's target. The painting originally belonged to the late Colonel Erik Zacharis, an Intelligence Officer in the Eastern Army during the war, who played an important role in ending the war between East and West.

This person also held sensitive information, one that, if it ever to be disclosed to the public, could reignite the flames of war, which is also known as the Zacharis Dossier. The painting is believed to hold secret information or a hidden code that can lead them to the secret files.

2. A Tennis Tournament

Since it's too risky to infiltrate Campbell's basement and take the painting right away, Loid and Fiona decide to take part in an illegal/underground tennis tournament run by Campbell and his members called Campbelldon in which they also fix the matches. If they manage to win a match, they may request whatever item they want from Campbell's art collection. However, that's not the only reason for Fiona to propose this cover. She also looks for a chance to be alone with Loid and perhaps have others thinking that they're a married couple.

3. Twain and Nafalia Phony

They disguise themselves as a mixed-double pairing with shared last name "Phony". Their first opponents are Wilson and Babol, a legendary duo who won the Grand Slam 10 years ago. Loid manages to finish them off with his experience from "dabbling it for a bit" as he spent some time practicing tennis with the Forgers. In the next match, they also manage to defeat the Bolic Brothers who use drugs to enhance their performance. After that, Loid and Fiona advance to the next round.

4. Yor Starts Getting Worried

Meanwhile, Yor and Anya are playing in the park. But Yor seems to space out and worried. Yor thinks of Loid, who goes out for a tennis match with his co-workers, and Fiona also comes along with him. Yor wonders about the relationship between the two, and she gets worried that it may threaten their family life. Since she can secretly read Yor's thoughts, Anya tries to cheer her up by saying everything will be fine. Anya quickly hides the fact that she just read her mother's mind as it's peculiar for her to understand Yor's feelings without being told.

5. Being Tricked In The Waiting Room

Since Nafalia and Twain continue to win matches, they finally reach the final match and have to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Suddenly, Fiona feels a tingling sensation, which turns out to be a mysterious chemical agent that is being blown into the room. Loid and Fiona are being sabotaged before their next game. So, they try to hold their breath as long as possible while communicating using signs.

6. The Final Match

The final match begins, and this time, they're playing against the Campbells, Carroll and Kim. Loid and Fiona lose the first set, given their weakened condition due to the gas, coupled with the modified racquets the opponents use, that have special powers that overwhelm Loid and Fiona a bit. But they manage to put up a fight with their full power in the subsequent set.

However, the opponents still play with sneaky tricks, thus making Loid and Fiona start getting frustrated because of their cunning ways.
