Square Enix revealed more about Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier via the live stream event. A lot was revealed, including the CBT phase that will be held next month.

From 1 to 7 June 2021, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier CBT will take place in North America. And from 1 to 8 June 2021 Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier CBT will take place in Japan.

In the live stream event, Producer Shoichi Ichikawa and Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura spoke about the gameplay of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. Translated by Siliconera, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a battle royale game where the players can play with 75 other players in single-player or team mode.

During the gameplay, the player can hunt monsters on the map to raise their level and get new skills. The monsters will drop items such as weapons and armors. Shoichi Ichikawa and Tetsuya Nomura also explain about magic with a different concept for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. Like how Blizzaga will look like a turret to help the player attack their target.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is slated to be released in 2021 for Android and iOS.
