So far, there are three major regions in Genshin Impact; Mondstadt (City of Freedom), Liyue (Land of Contracts), and Inazuma (Nation of Eternity). However, some reports are saying that another great nation is going to be introduced to Genshin Impact soon — Sumeru.

With the arrival of Enkanomiya in the 2.4 updates, Genshin Impact officially announced in a live stream that a new region called The Chasm is coming with the v2.6 update. However, it seems like The Chasm isn’t going to be the only region that will be introduced in future updates. Players can expect another regional update that will bring them to Sumeru – the Dendro region.

A popular Genshin Impact leaker has revealed info regarding the release of a major region called Sumeru. It seems like the region will arrive along with the 3.0 update, which will be released in July or early August. 

This update will certainly introduce another Archon after the Raiden Shogun, and Archon Sumeru is also rumored to be the youngest among other Archons.

Sumeru is home to the Dendro element, which means that we’ll see the first Dendro Character in Genshin Impact, and Hoyoverse will also likely bring new elemental reactions for Dendro.

Although there’s not much known about the Dendro element, some leaks regarding the character of this element have emerged since the early stage of its release. Aside from Archon Sumeru, two new Dendro characters are also rumored to be in the game: Baizhu and Yaoyao.
