Movies | 16 April
DC universe has a lineup of cool superheroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and many more. But before today’s glory days, DC Comic experimented by creating various superheroes with useless power. Some of them look bad, unlike how DC depicts a superhero. Who are these superheroes? Check the list below.
1. The Red Bee
The Red Bee first appeared in Quality Comic’s Hit Comics #1 in 1949. This superhero never made a success, but the hero started a new life after moving into DC Comics and appears for more than one decade. But the comic lacks support because readers think that Red Bee is useless.
Red Bee’s alter ego is Richard Raleigh, he is a lawyer in Superior City. Looking at the city he lived is filled with crimes, Raleigh decided to take it upon himself and quell crimes by becoming Red Bee. the superhero has no superpower and uses a weapon called “Stinger Gun” and an ability to control a group of bees.
2. Madam Fatal
Similar to Red Bee, Madam Fatal started her debut with Quality Comics in the early 1940s. DC Comics later purchase the license for the character for more than 15 years. Madame Fatal appears a couple of times and plays a major role, but that doesn’t help boost the popularity of this superhero.
The reason being Madam Fatal doesn’t depict a true superhero. Madame Fatal is an old lady with a super physique and quells crimes. Without a costume that depicts a superhero, many think that Madam Fatal is a normal character with a superpower that lacks the charm of a superhero.
3. Zan
Zan is one of the Wonder Twins duos from planet Exxor. Zan and Jayna are two superheroes owned by DC Comics. They first appear in Super Friends #7 that was published in 1977. Between the duo, many think that Zan is a superhero with a useless power. Jayna has the ability to transform into a wild beast, while Zan’s ability is hydrokinesis that allows him to transform into a liquid, solid matter, and gas. The combination of both superheroes is weird since Jayna is more dominant, unlike Zan.
4. Ambush Bug
Ambush Bug is quite popular in DC Comics. He appears for a couple of times and begins his debut in 1982. This superhero even appears alongside Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Ambush Bug, in fact, has an incredible superpower. People that know about his superpower know that Ambush Bug is a useful superhero, but in reality, many think that he is useless because of his mental instability.
5. Rainbow Girl
Dori Andraison is a girl with not ‘so super’ power. She can change the aura around her depending on her mood. In other words, she is a girl with an ability to change aura or color, just that. Another hero with a similar ability named Color Kid also exists, but he is not included in the list since he changes his color as camouflage.

6. Bouncing Boy
Bouncing Boy is a DC superhero with potential, but many think that the chubby superhero is useless. His real name is Chuck Taine and he accidentally obtains his power when he drinks liquid of experimental plastic that made his body elastic and can inflate. This ability gives him an advantage since he can bounce on any surface to become fast and deadly. But his appearance is thought of a complementary in DC Comics, in his tenure with The Legion, Taine is just a trainer in United Planets Militia Academy.
7. Sixpack
This character is the leader of a group of superheroes named Section 8, a unit filled with individuals with debatable superpowers. Sixpack has no special power or anything besides drinking alcohol and still get into action -- unconsciously. He can fight crime with a broken beer bottle like a drunkard fighting in a bar.
8. Matter Eater Lad
Originally from planet Bismoll, Tenzil Kem is the resident of a planet with no food that can be eaten. Because of that, they started to adapt and learn to eat anything. In reality, Tenzil is just used to eat fence, metal, concrete, and many other things. He is basically Limbad.
9. Dogwelder
This character is one of the members of Section 8 under Sixpack. Although the group is filled with oddballs, Dogwelder is the weirdest. His superpower? The member that supposed to have a superpower can only throw dog carcass to his enemy as a weapon.
10. Friendly Fire
This character has a good superpower. He is one of the members of Section 8 like Sixpack and DogWelder, but he has a real superpower. He can fire energy bullet from his hands. But the funny thing is, he can’t target his opponent. He energy bullet can only hit his ally which is why he is called Friendly Fire. In the end, the character is dead because of his own power.
That’s the list of DC universe that many think as useless. Which superhero is the lamest from the list above? Keep up with Dunia Games for more information about superheroes.
