Seeing how Tony Stark enjoys is life made us think that every superhero gets to enjoy a lavish lifestyle. However, several superheroes are penniless. Today Dunia Games will share the list of 10 poorest superheroes in Marvel universe.

1. The Morlocks

Morlock is a group of mutants that appears in Marvel comics. The group is close to X-Men because they both consist of mutants. They life beneath the ground and called outcast mutants. They live in abandoned tunnels. Their power is not as eye-catching as other mutants. Also, they can socialize with normal humans in a normal way since their power is not obvious.

2. Doorman

Doorman or DeMarr Davis is a mutant with an ability to transport humans through a wall. This Marvel character is black from top to bottom and not as popular as other Marvel characters. But Doorman once appeared in several popular Marvel comics such as Great Lakes Avengers.

3. Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl’s real name is Dorren Allene Green. When she was 10 years old, Dorren realizes that she can communicate with squirrels. Several years later, Dorren moves to New York and meet Great Lakes Avengers. With her unique ability, Dorren joins the group under the name Squirrel Girl. In the comics, Squirrel Girl babysit the daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. Squirrel Girl helps them protect the Daughter, Danielle, from Thule Society soldier that tries to destroy New York.

4. Power Man

Luke Cage, or Power Man, is a superhero with an interesting story. Luke Cage’s backstory is sad, even his social life is not as good when he becomes a hero. In the comics, Luke alongside Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist lives off from the payment he gets from dealing with criminals.

5. Hulk

As a scientist, Bruce Banner has a stable income. But since he transforms into Hulk, what’s left of him is his torn clothes (just shorts to be more accurate). He also doesn’t have a home to go back.

6. Big Bertha

Her real name is Ashley Crawford, and Big Bertha was a supermodel from Wisconsin. She is a mutant that can change her body size as she wishes. When she transforms into her giant bode, she is called Big Bertha. When she transforms into Big Bertha, Ashley’s strength also increases.

Big Bertha joins a group of superheroes named The Great lake Champions. In truth, Ashley’s earning as a model is massive, but since she financially supports the group, she ran out of money.

7. Echo

Maya Lopez or Echo is deaf, but she can mimic every move she sees, including martial arts, theatrical acts, and many more. After her father was murdered, she is under the care of Kingpin. Maya was raised by Kingpin without knowing about the truth of his father’s death. After knowing that she has been tricked by Kingpin, She shot him and left him behind. She then joins the New Avengers. Maya has a job as a performance artist and earns $23 per hour. 

8. Firestar

Her real name is Angelica Jones, and Firestar is born as a mutant. She can project microwave energy and generate strong heat. She once worked for Avengers to eradicate evil. But since she has to go to college, she takes a break from her job. As a college student, Firestar almost made no income and runs into student debt.

9. Spider-Man

Peter Parker or Spider-Man is one of the famous Marvel characters. After bitten by a spider, Peter Parker’s strength, agility, senses, and reflex is heightened. Peter Parker then made a spider costume to eradicate evil. Besides working as a superhero, Peter Parker is also a freelance photographer that earns US$15 per hour.

10. Man-Thing

Started from an experiment, a scientist named Ted Sallis transformed into a swamp creature named Man-Thing. He received that power when he is running away from a group of terrorists named Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM). Under the desperation to save himself, he injected a serum to his body to survive. Unfortunately, the car he is driving got into an accident and crashes into a swamp filled with chemical material.

Since then, Ted becomes a terrifying creature that can’t talk and lost all of his memories. Man-Thing then ventures deep into the swamp forever.
