Amazon previewed the cover of the latest issue of Monthly Action Futabasha magazine, revealing that a television anime of Moto'o Nakanishi's Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho novel series will premiere this summer. This anime was first announced in September 2021, this time further details regarding the TV anime adaptation of the historical fantasy light novel series this time reveal the first trailer, key visuals, main cast, anime character designs, and the staff who will be responsible for the anime the future. Several characters have been announced to appear in the anime, including:

• Jinta is voiced by Taku Yashiro

• Suzune is voiced by Reina Ueda

• Shirayuki is voiced by Saori Hayami

Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho will be directed by Kazuya Aiura at Yokohama Animation Laboratory with series composition written by Deko Akao and character designs by Taro Ikegami. The music was composed by Keiichi Hirokawa, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Ryuichi Takada, all of MONACA. Meanwhile, both the light novel and original manga versions, with illustrations by Yu Satomi.

The series description tells the story that over several generations, a shrine has stood in the mountain village of Kadono, and in each generation, the shrine has its itsukihime (shrine maiden) and the maiden has its guardian. In the Edo period, a young man named Jinta protected the city and Itsukihime. When he encounters a strange demon in a nearby forest, he is told that in the distant future, the Demon God will threaten everyone, everywhere, and claims that the Demon God's resurrection will occur in the village of Kadono.

Thus, begins the centuries-long journey of a man tainted by demons, hunting through time to seek justice for his loss, and to find a reason to continue fighting.
