Bandai Namco announced that a demo for Tekken 8 will be released soon, allowing players to try the game before its release in January. This trial or demo period will take place on December 14 2023 for PlayStation 5, and December 21 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X players. Unlike some previous closed network tests, this demo will focus on single-player content that is available to everyone who joins the demo indefinitely.

This demo opportunity allows fans to play the game. If the Close Network Test (CNT) and Close Beta Test (CBT) focused on online game modes, this demo fans can try several single-player modes in the game and become something that fans have not seen before.

Tekken 8 demo allows players to try out the opening chapter of the game's story mode, which is now named The Dark Awakens. The story details are currently scarce, although the official website states that the story will involve Jin Kazama facing off against his father Kazuya in battle across the world. This main story will also feature a series of character episodes for other characters present in the game.

This demo will also contain a versus battle mode which allows players to try new mechanics of the game, different from the previous CNT and CBT. Tekken 8 demo will be similar to a pure offline playing experience. Right now, that's all the details Bandai Namco can provide about the demo. Currently, there is no information on which characters will be available to play from the total of 32 characters in the demo.

Tekken 8 will be released for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on January 26, 2024. Meanwhile, the demo will be available starting December 14 2023 for PlayStation 5 and December 21 2023 for PC and Xbox players.
